Actually a team that was 3rd in GPG compared to a team that was 30th in GPG very much relates to how many scoring chances your top 6 gets when your coach has said top 6 playing a defensive first game. My impression from watching was that Philly had a pretty sizeable advantage in both, especially in the 2nd period. Shots on goal don't really bare that out, as they were fairly even in periods 1 and 3 (Philly had a 10 shot advantage in period 2).
