inkman Posted 6 hours ago Report Posted 6 hours ago I miss Jeff Skinners goal songs. Outside of his final choice as a Sabre, I thought Whitney Houston and Mylie Cyrus were great. 1 2 Quote

They were inspired, particularly Party in the USA (which was fun to hear on the road that season during breaks in play --- they're wishing for Skinner to score on them!). Shoutout to Olofsson, too, for ABBA's Gimme Gimme Gimme. It's such a break from the "Grrr, make it louder. Yell into the PA that we're on the powerplay" of the rest of sports presentations these days, etc. Just have a singalong danceable frolic that everyone has heard. Now, if it's for everyone on the team and every goal, it probably gets obnoxious. But no worse than a Chelsea Danger. Quote

After the tank, this was my suggestion. It's even more relevant now. Bruins used this on their cup run. So maybe not. Just bring back the Sabre Dance. BUT make it the Dave Edmunds Love Sculpture version. 2 Quote

The legend lives on from the Chippewa street down Of the big canal, they called Clinton’s Big Ditch A local brewery named in kind made a delicious ale called Hayburner My memory is kinda hazy Still a work in progress but I think we got something here Edited 2 hours ago by inkman 1 1 Quote
LabattBlue Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Lot of hate for “swords of a thousand men”. Is that any hokier than Shout at a Bills game? The fans have embraced it for I don’t know how many seasons now. 1 Quote

The difference is that the swords song is hokey now, the time point where you want to start using it. And I don’t know if it’s just the clip they used, but the audio quality on that one kind of sucks too. Quote

steveoath Posted 46 minutes ago Report Posted 46 minutes ago (edited) What an absolute shambles of a collection of tunes. Off the top of my head, songs I would take over all of those: Or if they start standing up for each other Edited 43 minutes ago by steveoath Quote
Taro T Posted 34 minutes ago Report Posted 34 minutes ago Actually, figured out what they SHOULD be using: Rush's 2112 - The Temples of Syrinx. Can start at either "... and the meek shall inherit the earth" (which technically is the end of the 2112 Overture) OR when Geddy Lee is screeching "oh what a night ...." Bonus points for ticking off Loaf fans by stealing a song from their local boys. All the gifts of life are held within our walls. Quote
