Seems like the franchise is searching for some identity, chasing a "Mr. Brightside", but I think they have to let it come to them. Fix the on ice product, produce a good team, and the right vibes will come. In the interim just stick with some of the classics like Song 2- Blur, or Machinehead- Bush. I do feel like hockey has always lent itself to rock and roll, heavy/punk. But I wouldn't mind if they leaned more hip hop. Bring Em' Out - TI Still Fly - Big Timers Hate Me Now -Diddy (problematic at the moment) Husltin- Rick Ross Hard in the Paint - Waka Flaka Flame (if we are gonna pick a song to change the culture maybe this is it) The kiddos can jump in with more ideas. But the current mumble rap sucks and I am over whatever this country rap thing is. Stick to the classic "Sabre Dance" after goals and then let the changes from the current culture flow into it. Forcing a song based on a random list of candidates won't work. It has to evolve. 1 2 Quote

From the 2:07 - the outro changes into something that could rev up a crowd. Add in the sound of Sabres rattling and cutting the air. It could work. Quote

I frickin' loved this band back in the mid-90s, man. Just kicked out some rocking jams and kept things light. My suggestion that the Sabres actually use 2:07 onward as a goal song (LOOK OUT!) was, in and of itself, a bit silly. Edited 2 hours ago by That Aud Smell Quote
CallawaySabres Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago I actually got a chuckle out of how freaking terrible those choices are. It fits in perfectly with the whole trainwreck of an organization. I mean, you really have to laugh that they can never get anything right😆 I suppose if you HAD to get the crowd to actually join in, Swords of a Thousand Men would have to be the choice. Quote
Weave Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago I’d put a write in candidate. Slipknot, People = ***** Quote
Taro T Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Still expect "This Beat Goes On" by the Kings would've been a good choice. Not impressed with the choices they're down to. Would go w/ the Motley Crew tune if absolutely had to pick one of them. Expecting Jeremy White finally gets his way but am not thrilled about it. Quote

I voted for it just so that the campaign could finally end. I expect the song to fizzle as the team's goal song. But who knows - it will all depend on whether the team's in the playoff picture. 1 Quote

If they make the playoffs this year; and it is a real possibility, AND that song ends up the B&G goal song you realize that he will be campaigning for it to stay the goal song (heck, if it ends up the goal song, he'll be campaigning for it to remain even if they're '75 Caps bad or anywhere inbetween) for as long as he's still gainfully employed at WGR, right? Like Thatcher famously said, "don't go all wobbly on us now, George." 😉 1 Quote

Can you imagine 19000 fans doing the peaches chant?!?! I can't even imagine 19,000 people coming to a game, never mind singing along. After the tank, this was my suggestion. It's even more relevant now. 2 Quote

Maybe the people in charge of this stuff are too young to appreciate bands whose heyday was 20+ years ago. Or maybe they have different tastes in music. I find the songs they chose for the poll as odd. No hip hop, only one rock song? Idk. It’s an easy W that they miss completely. 1 1 Quote
