They have to be. There’s no way they did that by accident.

Certainly not by accident. Whether it's clever is up for debate.

Now, when the starting lineup is Benson-Norris-Thompson and they go stand in line for the anthems (in the playoffs), will I snicker? Also up for debate.

I am outraged at the lack of respect shown the leadership of Girgensons and Okposo.

The blood sweat and tears on those jerseys were barely dry.

6 suits Benson: squat, old school and in defiance of expectations.

I need Norris to be fully engaged in being a long-term key Sabre. Silly, but that felt like step in the right direction.

Wanted Kess to take 5 or 6 but 8 works.

I like that all these numbers are old school.

Danforth already the most likable 15 in team history. 😜

A team that hasn’t scratched winning in 15 years has an official account making sex jokes

That’s our Buffalo Sabres now

I don't get it.

Sabre official social media team bolded the word “nice” in reference to a joke that was relevant about the last time the team made the playoffs, the context of the joke being a reference to two people performing oral sex one one another at the same time

Suppose "scratched" works, but "sniffed" fits the motif better.  MHO.  YMMV.

I keep seeing people saying this is the first time a forward has worn 6 but technically Housley came in as a center AND defenseman.

I just hope Norris plays more than 9 games this season.

Housley did not “come in” as a center. They eventually tried him at center but originally he was strictly a defenseman.

I always think of Mike Weber

Sarich 6
Rasmussen 9

Remembering some guys.

Rasmussen was in the league for 9 seasons (7th overall a career fourth liner is a bit disappointing, for sure). But Sarich played 15 solid years, won a Cup, and fell a half-season short of 1000 games played.

I had no idea Corey Sarich was in the league that long.

I don’t think the teenage intern in charge of running their social media account is allowed to stay up that late
