Buffalo Sabres 2025-26 Schedule releases 7/16/25

Looks like only 16 weekend home games and 6 of those come in 3 sets of weekends (1 Friday & Sunday; 1 Friday Saturday; and 1 Saturday Sunday).

Not exactly making it easy for those that don't live in Erie/Niagara Counties or Fort Erie to attend a lot of games.

And BOTH Loafs games are weekend games.

4 home games in 7 days November 17 - 23

5 home games in 8 days with btb in the middle of that Jan 10 - 17

5 home games in 8 days w/ btb to start it off March 7 - 14

and ending with 4 home games w/ btb in the middle of it from March 25 - 31.

 

Don't know what the STHers did to piss them off, but they clearly aren't happy with us.

This schedule stinks for out of towners.

 

Guess either relatives will go to a lot of games or will be selling a lot.

8 Thursdays including the season opener and the only home game in February.

5 Mondays.

6 Tuesdays (3 of those in March).

6 Wednesdays.

4 Fridays (only 1 of which falls after the calendar flips).

10 Saturdays.

2 Sundays.

Interesting that they go into the February break with a Florida roadie, and come out of the break with another Florida roadie.

I'm fascinated how they made a schedule where Buffalo has 3 home heavy months (October, November, March) 2 even months (January, April) and just two road heavy months. (December, February)

They'll have played 6 extra home games before the big western road swing also of 6 games.  (Yeah, Filly ain't west, but the next 5 on the trip are.)

Like that 3 of the last 5 are home.

I see 11 games in October but get your point of being home heavy.   One positive of this past season was the good home record.

And perhaps this is their thinking?  If Buffalo fans won't come then let's entice them to sell to other teams' fans who will!

And I liked the wing thing.  I'm not blown away and I think schedule release crap is over rated anyway.. but there was some cleverness in there.

But, if we didn't have to make a separate trip to and from the rink literally every other day for over a week FOUR separate times, we MIGHT actually show up at the games.

Was really looking forward to getting to 25 or maybe even 30 games this year.  Went to 24 or 25 last year.  But might be hard pressed to make it to 10.  Just simply can't do that much driving during the week in that short a timeframe.  Am way too busy to pull it off.

The crazily frustrating off-season just keeps rolling along.  😞

Umm, Granato isn't the coach anymore.  The Sabres gave up THAT portion of their contrarian-ness.  They no longer win a majority of their road games and lose a majority of their home games.

Eh, never happened last year.  Hopefully one happens this season.  We'll see.  Fewer weekend games than usual to choose from this time.

Late West Coast Road trip this year.  It's been a while since I was in Anaheim/LA in late March. St. Patrick's Day in Vegas could spell trouble for some 716 fans travelling to support the team.  March Madness offers enough reason for overindulging in adult beverages in Vegas.  Toss in a Sabres game and St. Pat's holiday, and it could get ugly.  I'm visiting family in mid-October, so it looks like Colorado and Florida.  It could be worse.
