Yeah, we blew right through the Murray portion of the Kevyn Adams 1 Man 3 GM show into the Jason Botterill all your RHDs belong to us phase of the show.  Did not expect to see that heading into the weekend.  Thought we'd stay on the Tim Murray overpay for what we want portion of the program a bit longer than we did.

Phew, you are in a dark place. If you need a hug, just let me know. 🤗😆

Keep Byram, and get rid of Samuelssen and add Hague and that looks so good!

That would make more sense, Hague’s skating isn’t so great but he is an upgrade over Samuelssen.

Fairburn doesn't like the trade. Thinks Timmins and Clifton are similar, Belliveau is a zero and the Sabres gave away a high 2nd round pick. He says KA loves giving away 2nd's for nothing (trading a 2nd for Mallienstein last year). KA's scouts much love him

He doesn’t watch Clifton play then

I can’t stand when people say that.  There are a lot of very good 2nd round picks out there.
Kucherov.  Aho.  Robertson.  Peterka.  Kyrou.  Hintz.  Hutson.
imagine if their GM was an idiot and traded away that 2nd round pick because it “doesn’t mean much”.

Picks in the upper level of the second round have about a 30% chance of playing 100 NHL games.  The fact that some of them "hit" does not make the numbers game any different.  The Sabres traded a 30% chance for a 100% chance (since Timmins already has played 100 games).

I don’t know why this concept isn’t self evident to more people.

Yeah, I just reread the article to make sure I didn’t miss something but you are taking great liberties with what he actually said. Also, the article was co-written by Pittsburgh’s best writer so you have no idea what either of them actually said.

With all these moves and how they are just adding guys with size and nastiness I think it’s just a matter of time till Sammy is gone

I sure hope so.

Obviously, the exception proves the rule.

Interestingly they took Bedkowski with 71 and Kettles went at 39. You could flip those picks and it would still make sense in this draft. I don't think we missed out on anything.

I mean, I'm sure that some pick somewhere 39 and above will be a successful player, and there probably will even be a star or two in that range.  But if someone wants to hold onto pick #39 over using that pick for an established player, I want that someone at my poker table.

Wait.  He was playing with Karlsson in Pittsburgh?  We didn't just now find our 3rd pairing D-man; we might've found our top pairing D-man.  Yikes!!!

I'm getting the sense that if this guy and Kesselring work out, the Sabres, in the end, are not saving money at all by making these moves.

Won’t be surprised if we see a real competition for that top4 spot. But they’re all injury prone so we will probably need them all..
