When you have zero say and you love the game as much as I do,  you enjoy the good moments,  even if they are fleeting. Groaning and bitching about something you cannot control does nothing.... tired of being miserable over a sports team.

You guys see the awesome logo for the Utah Mammoths?  I love it.  I’m thinking about jumping ship and becoming a fan of that franchise.  I can’t stand a single move the Sabres are making.  
I don’t like when people hop on bandwagons after a team is successful or about to become successful or I’d jump on the Sharks.  They are going to be fun to watch.

Karmanos leaving makes sense.  Adams is staying and Karmanos needs to find a better opportunity than staying in a dead end job with the Sabres.  
 

For me it’s going to boil down to the roster decisions made this offseason.  The alleged first change (Byram) was obvious and telegraphed when Adams said he needs to find Power a partner.   It just a question of time until it happens.  The question is what happens after that deal gets done.

No. But I definitely understand everyone who turns their back on this. A respected NHL franchise has become something that, to me, seems like some weird experiment.

I would never be done with the Sabres, but I feel like I have checked out the last 3-4 years. If they are in the top 8 next year any time after November, I will be ready to roll. I think they will be close to the worst team in the NHL by December so not really getting my hopes up.

It’s pretty cool. I still like the Kraken. I’m inching closer and closer to jumping ship.

Problem is, ownership seems to have already given up on them.

Not giving up. But not going to games for a while.  

I stopped going this past season, only went to 3, they went 0-3, and the big losing streak ended my financial commitment.  

If they bring in a few players and improve I’ll go back, of course.  

Meanwhile, I’m thinking of acquiring throwback Buffalo Hockey Bisons AHL gear.  Good memories and no pain.

It’s not a “weird experience”—-it’s gross incompetence practiced for an extended period of time. It shouldn’t be a surprise that when your owner is out of step with the norm, your franchise becomes abnormal.

It is hard to fathom how embarrassingly bad this team has been for this long. We are the outlier for the worst drought in nhl history. Seems like a lifetime ago watching some of the 90’s and early 2000’s teams.
