Unless this kid is 6'2, 220, hits, forechecks, and backchecks, he is not going to help this team.  We do not need more "speedy" "skilled" forwards.  We need someone to go to the freaking front of the damn net!!!! Trade bait for a manly NHL player he should be!!!!

Anyone know if our boy Savoie is injured again? He’s been out of the Moosejaw lineup that last couple of games.

He's dealing with a minor upper-body injury per moosejawtoday.com. If they needed him, he'd be playing. But they're comfortably in a playoff spot and can give him a week or so to rest and recover for the end of the season.

(Hopefully, it's not a seemingly minor injury that is really just an ongoing slow decline. He's had that shoulder injury previously.)

Good now leave him there for the rest of the year. Let him get every game he can. Have two goalies developing well at 2 different levels. The future is finally bright in net just let it play out.

This makes me smile good for the kid

Sabres didn't destroy him

.920 sv% is good, getting closer to the numbers he was putting up in the NCAA. Let him marinate and get a taste of the playoffs.

So Moosejaw goes on a 12 goal tear last night and I was expecting to see Our Boy Savoie with another fat stat line, but he had just the one goal and was +3 for the night. He must have had a great game though as he was named first star.

Pretty sure it’s Dead Horse, but I’ll ask Sabres73 if that’s correct.

I appreciate the info, but I’ll still need verification from Sabres73.

It's also the capital of Sabrespace (or is it Sabre Space?), where we go for the beatings.

Within this WGR link is a 13 min. segment with Kris Baker going through a list of prospects within the system. He starts off talking about Savoie pointing out that many of his points come from driving to the net. He also talks about the defensemen in the system. He made an interesting comment that he views prospects as chips that can be parlayed.
