Sabres trade for Defenseman Riley Stillman in exchange for Josh Bloom

On the other hand, he is now ranked 7th on the Sabres in hits this season in only 32 games played.

He also has 3 fights this season... so Krebs and Cozens don't have to be the team's enforcers. That's... good?

Doubtful, but don't really know much about Bloom either.

Me either, other than he seems to score a lot of short-handed goals.

Episode 5 Reaction GIF by The Office

The poster you responded to is referring to the fact that our GM knew the player's dad when they were with Carolina in their cup year. I don't consider this transaction in any way an act of nepotism. It was simply a low-grade hockey trade.

So where is Cliff Poo these days?

Pu is rocking 20 points in 41 games for the Kunlun Red Star this season.

They're China's KHL expansion team so that China could get a team together for the Beijing Olympics. They're Bantha poodoo (translates as "fodder") for the rest of the KHL.

So Ethan Bear for a 5th didn’t make sense, but Stillman for a decent prospect (& former 3rd rd pick) makes sense.  Look who has better stats for the Nucks.

….and people wonder why I’m not all in on the Adams train.

My phone just lit up with my Canuck fan friends laughing at me, so there’s that 🤷

Not for nothing but i think they've got bigger issues then Stillman for Bloom. lol

Unless Canucks win the lottery they might not be good til after Bloom retires from pro hockey. 😆

Gotta give Kevyn some benefit of the doubt, Jost was a great get who turned it around in a different system here. And can’t do worse than Bryson. Bloom will never play a NHL game. but it reeks of nepotism so I’ll not get too optimistic.

Cronyism, not nepotism. They aren't related.

Something maybe a bit interesting....his dad Cory Stillman is an asst. coach with the COYOTES!  Maybe a move to get him on his dad's team?!?!

Anyway, some fight night links:

And he’s quite an accomplished punch catcher too!

Schopp had Chad DeDominicis on his WGR show talking about trades and Buffalo's interest in them. The most interesting comment that he made in this 19 min segment is that the Sabres are interested in trading with Washington for Jensen. They are hoping that the price comes down. He noted that they have had numerous communications with the Capitals for this player.
