Happy Thanksgiving

In a dark period for me as a fan, I am thankful for those of you who are keeping my candle flickering (and for Thorny, who keeps my "candle" "flickering").

On nights like last night, I can glimpse the future. The vision fades quickly though.

We had a very low key Thanksgiving.  We had six of us:  me, my wife, our two sons, our daughter-in-law and my son's best friend (whose family is Jehovah Witness and don't celebrate holidays... he's had a standing invitation from us for years).  Basic turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, veggies, etc.  Oddly, no pie this year, but three wonderful cheesecakes:  chocolate marble, apple strudel  and dragonfruit.

My wife did virtually the cooking except for the gravy.  I do the gravy every year.

She was up early cooking.  I'm up late cleaning.  Just loaded the third and final load into the dishwasher and cleaned the countertops and now it's time for bed.
