According to Wikipedia, there have been 171 Game 7s since the advent of the best of seven series in 1939, and the home team has won 100 times. I have never been to a playoff game live, let alone a game 7, but heck yeah I would love it. Game 7, 2020 Cup Finals in Buffalo against the Oilers. Where do I sign up? You've done this 3 times against this particular opponent already. The 'grip your sticks too tight' home game is game 1 (game 3 for the lower seed) not game 7. I do get this feeling as well sometimes. It’s easier to accomplish your “goal” for the first two game set if you are the road team, as the goal is always only a split.
