How about they both found some drafts they can finally handle?

Jeremy White RT'd a great one: "Not the first time Murray overpaid for a Moulson?"

Well, yesterday.

I think it's Osteria.

It was definitely Osteria.

Tim and his wife have been regulars there since he came to town.

Here they are at the Osteria 3rd anniversary party last June.

Also, friends of mine were at Osteria a couple weeks ago, and said that the Murrays were at the bar just throwin' em back like there was no tomorrow. Murray was fired 2-3 days later; the theory is that he already knew what was coming and they were out for a last hurrah of sorts (either that, or they're just heavy drinking types).

Botteril? If so, this is a horrible hire with a horrible mole like Russ Brandon infecting the organization and a crap owner.

Why is Botteril horrible? I mean, I don't find him exciting or anything, but he seems like a sane and solid choice; his name is always brought up during GM searches.

Darcy Regier can win big if Crosby and Malkin were already in place. Pass. Get ready for another long run of crap folks.

Murray looks entirely dazed and confused in that picture. He must have just gotten done watching his blue line play.

Right. He's a boring choice, but he's in the top tier of candidates based on credentials.

Meh. Blech. Such a malaise has overcome me. I feel it in others here too. It feels very much like: We. Are. So. Screwed. But maybe: Terry. Lucks. Out.

This can end either way and we really have no control. We're gonna be in the Hudson, one way or another.

I am tired of fighting The Man. Meddle and delete to your heart's content. I don't care anymore.

Complete opposite for me.

The mey, blah, this sucks, of last season has now been erased by the firings.

To me Terry only hired Patty. The rest that resulted he sat back and watched unfold like we did. He has a chance to do it himself and make it right.

This is the funnest year of his ownership to me.

I think you're just cranky that all this time you thought the problem was meddling, when in fact, there was little of it. It's okay, I'd also despair if my pet theory was so completely incorrect :p

I think that Jason Botterill has become like Jonathan Toews on here.

Overrated and overpaid?

Geez. It's like no one ever hired a GM that didn't work out before.

May I remind you two poopy posters of:

- Eichel

- Risto

- ROR

- Reino

- Kane

- Okposo

- McCabe

- Lehner

- Nylander

- #8 overall pick in draft next month

- RJ

- No internal salary cap

- State of the art practice and conditioning facilities

- Unlimited resources for scouting, assistant coaches, etc.

- Burning desire by ownership to win and willingness to spend whatever it takes to get there

- Dedication by ownership to downtown urban renewal, with tangible accomplishments already

Next year's team will almost certainly be significantly better than this year's team.

Quit feeling sorry for yourselves.

It's a great day to be alive.

Overrated and overpaid?

Sorta. It's the "called overrated for so long they're becoming underrated" syndrome.

They're both capable, boring, have had a ton of success and have dominated the Sabres.

Because of the pushback surrounding them, the quality of their resumes gets lost.

But what kind of intangibles does Botterill have?

May I remind you Mr Poopy Poster yourself:

Dan Bylsma was a winner

How did that work out?

From the same organization that Botterill is from

I wonder what kind of wine Terry received as a recommendation from the true sports cancer of Western NY, Mr. Russell Brandon himself. Maybe  Merlot? A nice port?

Got it, only hire people who lose a lot. They're due!

I have a friend who works for a casino whose told me Murray has been ejected from the casino for being too drunk before so I'm assuming he's just became a typical victim of Buffalo Sports.
