Matthews and Laine just finished the World Championship. Â Interesting that Tim Murray likes the combine because it identifies athletes. Eichel and Guhle were top performers last year. Â Matthews and Laine could skip it entirely and not worry. Â The guys that just finished up in the CHL are a different story. Â I agree, that's a disadvantage. Eichel and Guhle were top performers last year.  If you have google and a half hour, you can find out who the top performers were the past 5 or 6 years. It would be nice to have the whole list like NHL GMs get, but from the short list, I don't see any meaning to the combine top performers. A few NHL Reporters are speculating whether or not this is intentional. I say it wasn't, if they wanted to troll a team, ROR Picture would be outside the Avs Suite.
