Derrico
So our first line RW, our 2nd and 3rd line centres, and our starting goalie gone, with Chad Johnson in to drive the tank home. All tankers on board with how this shook down? I thought Stewart, Mitchell and Neiuverth had to go for today to be successful. Fynn was just a nice bonus :P
Hoss
Elliotte Friedman @FriedgeHNIC CAL appears to have traded Baertschi. No league trade call yet. LGR4GM
well now that that is over I say we lose 9 games, win 1 and then lose another 10.
Eleven
Sorry, Darcy was the king of deadline day. He made good deals. I wonder if Murray's lack of experience with deadline day (think about it; Ottawa is *never* a player on deadline day) is an issue. Why? Because it is three years away or because it is a second and you were expecting more? I'm fine with stocking the cupboard with future assets. more flexibility in the future when some of these prospects start turning pro. Because that player will not play in the NHL for seven more years.
SabresFanInRochester
well now that that is over I say we lose 9 games, win 1 and then lose another 10. As long as your projected win is not scheduled during one of the two games against Arizona, I am okay with that.
MattPie
Trading picks for a draft 3 years away seems ridiculous By then 2nd rounders will be in the lottery.
Hoss
Meh. I'm fine with the return. I don't care how far away it is. It's a 2017 second. By then the Wild might collapse under their bad contracts and age...

I get that but at the end of the day we have lots of picks, space with the cap and a good set of prospects. While that second round pick may not see the NHL for seven years based on what I've seen from GMTM we will probably never use that pick. sabills
Teams knew Murray was desperate to get rid of those guys, not operating from a point of power at all. Got deals, and if we get 30th its worth it.

sicknfla
Feels kind of good thinking this may have been the final sell off in this rebuilding process. Maybe from here forward it is all about making the team better. Edited March 2, 2015 by sicknfla

jahnyc
I am really unimpressed with Murray to this point. Today's trades were poor, and I believe he overpayed for Kane and Fasching. We traded some assets today and received almost no value in return.

SDS
So, Murray deals Neuvirth, Mitchell, Stewart, and Flynn... How did he do that when he wasted 10 minutes on the phone with WGR???? VOODOO? WITCH DOCTOR? Just think of the haul he would have gotten if he had just stayed in his office those critical 10 minutes.
carpandean
As long as your projected win is not scheduled during one of the two games against Arizona, I am okay with that. If we only lose 1 more, then it won't matter. The leads are 3 and 4 points, 2 more doesn't hurt us.
z-man
I think they got about what you would expect. The 2017 2nd can be an effective trade chip next year.
SDS
Lame excuse. Darcy was in the same boat and got #1's. Hate to say it but Murray got took today. Because what Arizona had to sell was EXACTLY equivalent to what the Sabres were selling.
