Complaint Thursdays

What a weird day. Full moon hitting my customers and staff hard.

Plus last week I found out that I lost out on a position I had applied and interviewed for. According to a friend at the company I was applying they really like me and my experience a lot but went with the other guy because he had a little more direct experience in health care than I do. Kicker was that he had already interviewed, offered, accepted and then declined the position a couple months ago and then begged to be reconsidered, so they did and gave him the job again.

Today is my birthday. The wife and I went to the casino and I played craps for the first time ever. Literally walked up to an empty table and asked the (dealer?) how to play. I won a couple hundred dollars even after tipping the (dealer?) handsomely.

Just got a call out of the blue from my adult step-son. He and his fiance offered to come home from college near Rochester tonight to watch my two younger kids so we can go out again tonight.

Sorry I've got no complaints but if I waited until F'n Friday to post this, the first point would no longer have been valid. :)

Happy birthday. Hope you and the wife are NOT reading this right now.

Between you posting 'wow, life is wonderful' stuff and Chz NOT closing this thread when it's supposed to be closed (what, is midnight that difficult of a concept on margarita night?) you all are simply making a MOCKERY of Compliant Thursdays. ;)

PS - Happy B-day.

Creston Iowa. Show up for my reservations in this crappy hotel in the middle of nowhere and they don't have my reservation on file (even though I have a copy in my hand). Told me they were full and I had to drive down the country road to the Super 8.

If you've ever stayed in the middle of nowhere at a Super 8 you would understand my complaint

My complaint...it took this long for the thread to open.

I'm a mechanical engineer by trade, went to RIT for 6 years to get my bachelors and masters in engineering. I currently work as a Sales Engineer (first sales gig ever in my life...) at a company, and it's been quite the experience so far. my biggest complaint is the disconnect between sales and engineering. Sales requests something (drawing change, layout drawing to give to a customer, installation instructions, whatever), and it takes a bunch of himing and hawing just to get them to do it. I have tried to do several of these things on multiple occasions, only to be told I'm doing it wrong, and then left to figure it out on my own. Well this time, instead of telling me I did something wrong (which I didn't come to find out), everybody basically ignored my request for a drawing change...1 week after I sent it out one of the engineers let me know that he hasn't acted on the DC request because nobody responded. 1 week...1 WHOLE WEEK! I didn't know that once I send out a request that I need to hold everyone's hand to get it done. Once it leaves my desk, it's SUPPOSED to be the engineers problem...not mine, even if I put the request in.

I ran my first full marathon on Sunday. I did not pace properly, and wound up setting a personal record for the half marathon on the first 13.1 miles. That made the second half tough as my legs looked up at me around mile 14 and said, "Dude, you ######-ed up!" 4 days later and I still can't walk down stairs.

Guy here at work ran one a few weeks back, and he was hurting for a good week afterwards. I have no desire to ever run one. Good for you though.

It must be nice being able to run. They still won't let me. I'm really starting to get the itch to move around a lot more and hit people.

mis-diagnosed ankle sprains. it's actually fractured. guess who gets to have his ankle rebroken so the fracture can be properly set.

shrader, still have those drugs?

oh happy day. mother ****, this is an unparalleled level of pain.

Yes I do. Unfortunately shipping them to Utah probably gets me in a whole new level of trouble. How can they miss a fracture though? Did they even take any x-rays?
