Interesting. I think the firing Adams move was a better move than hiring Kekäläinen, I hope to be wrong. He isn't afraid to make moves, and will bring balance to the defense, the bad side is it will happen with the signing of a bad contract. Just guessing.

Hope this gives the team energy to win the coming games before christmas.

The biggest positive is that Adams was canned and removed from the organization instead of promoted.

Jarmo is an experienced NHL GM who is from outside the Sabres bubble. I’m sure he has some suggestions from his time advising and we will probably see some moves in the coming weeks.

He was the man who identified Zito and hired him for his first front office position.  I would like to see him hire someone from outside the Sabres bubble who is an up and comer for the front office.

I'd like to see him fire all the coaches, scouts, etc... and get a completely fresh perspective.

Beyond that the main pieces that I'd consider moving out:

UPL - Has played more here than Ullmark, Lehner and everyone else post-miller.  He is not good. 

Byram - Just hasn't found it here ( I think this could be "or Power" but if it took forever to get a 2 year deal done with Byram, i just don't see the necessary mutual interest)

Malenstyn - He's played a lot better this season, but is expiring this season

Greenway - Like his length and PK, but he's slow as molasses and doesn't offer much O for what he gets paid.  

Quinn - There are always little glimpses of him being a really good player, and then he goes invisible.  He's looked better no longer riding on the Cozens line, and i fear the value of the return makes it not really worth it.  He's a piece in a larger trade package I'd have to say.

Then there are the young players like Östlund, Rosen, and Kulich - You probably don't want all 3 in your opening day lineup next year, and there's no reason to put them in the AHL.  

I'd keep Malenstyn.  He's got the work ethic we've been clamoring for.  No problem with him on the 4th line.

Quinn.... The jury's still out in my mind.  If we change coaches I'd like to see what a different coach can get out of him.

Östlund, Rosen, and Kulich:  I disagree.  They are the future.

My assumption?  Scouts/AGM's/Development/Coaching - There's bloat and too many Sabres lifers, and people KA hired from his past.

Jarmo has free rein to make decisions on Sabres staff and will be making changes, and will announce them himself.
