Though the Amerks would much rather have Dunne in their top 6 than Geertsen as a 4W with less upside than Jagger Joshua. 1 Quote
shrader Posted 23 hours ago Report Posted 23 hours ago (edited) Nooooooooooooooo! Seriously though, congratulations to this guy. He almost doubled his salary for the month or so he was sitting in the press box. Edited 23 hours ago by shrader Quote

Pimlach Posted 21 hours ago Report Posted 21 hours ago Some funny comments, but I have nothing against this guy. The problem is not Geertsen, it’s the people who thought he could help. 3 1 Quote
Big Guava Posted 20 hours ago Report Posted 20 hours ago Wonder if they handed him a case of Molson Golson on the way out. Quote

K-9 Posted 19 hours ago Report Posted 19 hours ago Interesting that neither Rosen or Östlund weren’t sent back down instead. Quote

Even Ruff has to acknowledge that Geertsen doesn't gjve them their best chance of winning any given game when he hasn't put him in the lineup in what, 2, 3 weeks? So, this one should've been, and turned out to be a no brainer. The NEXT move is going to be the really interesting one, because don't believe they want to send any of the guys currently in the lineup down to Ra-cha-cha and they don't want to give up on any of the goalies just yet. But something has to give. 1 Quote

Yes, and it's fortunate for him he found a team willing to give him the 2-way deal this season. I still think it's odd that he got 2 years when Ruff only has 1 remaining on his contract, but whatever. I don't fault Geertsen for anything except maybe playing too nice. It's not his fault that when he tried to mix it up and start something the opponents pointed to the scoreboard and said, "We're not taking any penalties." Geertsen could've forced the issue (he obviously tried to and got a misconduct for it), but maybe he could've shut up and then gone in with his elbows up later and started a ruckus that way. But... he never seemed to play over the line, or even on the edge. 18 minutes ago, Taro T said: The NEXT move is going to be the really interesting one, because don't believe they want to send any of the guys currently in the lineup down to Ra-cha-cha and they don't want to give up on any of the goalies just yet. But something has to give. For me, Dunne is next (and Rochester could use him). I'd say he's 85% likely to clear waivers. Zucker --> Greenway bumps down to 4W --> Dunne is out Benson --> Rosén down Norris --> Östlund down Danforth --> new 13 since Kozak has been good (or in for Quinn or any underperforming/low-effort forward) 3 Quote
