Look to be a PP & defensive improvement over JJ while a little less playmaking although I wonder if JJs linemates inflated his apples.

I would definitely make the call and see what the price tag is. Guy still has a high ceiling from where he's at. If we can get him for prospects or picks definitely.

Does Columbus need a Byram? To make room, one of Quinn, Benson or Krebs has to be moved, so could a package of one of the above, and a pick be attractive?

Trading either Bryan, Quinn or Benson would be a grand mistake. Krebs is another issue. I don’t believe Krebs has much market value.

No other front office (besides Columbus) will know him better.  Jarmo will hopefully know if he’s worth the risk or not.

All 3 you mentioned are arguably better already

Chinakov had a whopping 15pts last year in 30 games and isn’t physical. So unless the plan is to trade Krebs for him it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense
