mjd1001 Posted Tuesday at 03:47 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 03:47 PM (edited) Good. On paper, He looked like a decent fourth liner but it didn't seem to work out. Good to get something for him and good for him to move on. It's a small, but a good lesson, that sometimes the statistics on paper and even the analytics don't mean much if he doesn't mesh with the coach or the rest of the team. steveoath Posted Tuesday at 03:48 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 03:48 PM Good. I had him as my βbiggest surpriseβ on the start of year thread. Didnβt realise the surprise would be how absolutely shocking at hockey he is.Β 1 1 Quote

TheAud Posted Tuesday at 03:50 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 03:50 PM So 2/3rds of the NAK, Lafferty, Malenstyn revamped 4th line that was supposed to help get the team to the playoffs last year is now off the team one year later. I wonder if Malenstyn gets traded later today.Β 1 1 Quote
dudacek Posted Tuesday at 03:50 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 03:50 PM And another salary dump/roster clean-out. Very disappointing addition. Liked what I saw of him prior to Buffalo and thought he was going to be a good add. But he brought essentially nothing. 1 2 Quote
LGR4GM Posted Tuesday at 03:51 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 03:51 PM Just BTW FYI, the vaunted 4th line from Adams last offseason adventure went from Aube-Kubel, Lafferty, and Malestyn to ... Malestyn.Β 1 Quote

shrader Posted Tuesday at 03:52 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 03:52 PM Now add a center to the team that is better than the current next in line option Kozak. 1 Quote
dudacek Posted Tuesday at 03:52 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 03:52 PM Kinda surprised we got a pick for him and had to add a pick to dump Conor Clifton. He might have cost $1M more, but least Clifton is a right-handed defenceman, which should have meant something. 1 Quote

Had to look at the title of the thread twice to make sure it wasn't the Sabres sending Chicago the 6th rounder. He should've been a very good addition and he was absolutely horrible. 1 Quote

Our fourth line is already better without him and now we have more money for (yacht) upgrades.Β Quote
DarthEbriate Posted Tuesday at 03:58 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 03:58 PM From his time in Vancouver, I thought he was going to be the most pleasant surprise (exceeding expectations) on the roster at the start of last season.
