GoPuckYourself Posted Tuesday at 03:16 AM Report Posted Tuesday at 03:16 AM Preparing myself to be underwhelmed... I don't see much in the way of forwards that we have a shot at, I don't think Ehlers, Granlund or Boeser would come here and if we're keeping Byram then Gavrikov is off the table imo. My guess is they sign G Daniel Vladar, LD Ryan Lindgren (hopefully to replace Samuelsson on the bottom line with I'm guessing Timmons). I would think the Peterka replacement would have to come in the form of a trade because I just don't see any top names that would want to sign here imo. Quote

dudacek Posted Tuesday at 01:31 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 01:31 PM Buckle up boys and girls. Feels like we’re going to need a lot of comfort food today. Adams is feeling the pressure and won’t get any significant UFAs to bite. I smell Byram for a lesser Dman and a pick and Rust for Helenius or another prospect we like. 1 Quote

If that's all they're going to do, just don't friggin' bother and HOPE that continuity and having a full year under Ruff's "system" gets them some extra points in the standings. And, yes, that's ALL they're gonna do. Used to absolutely love Canada Day. Now it just serves to remind us how far we're removed from the NHL. Quote

Under the circumstances you describe it might make more sense to keep Byram and deal for Rust. Will we eventually lose Byram? Yes. So be it. Play for something this year and then deal with the future. Rust would be a good addition on the ice and in the room. Quote
