Personally, expect he'll pass him on the depth chart (if he hasn't already) but that unless they have 2 injuries on D they'd rather have him in Ra-cha-cha playing so expect he'll go down rather than Bryson if they keep 8 up on the big roster.  He is still waiver exempt to be sent down.  So, unless they're on an extended road trip doubt he's up if he isn't in the top 6.

But interestingly Puckpedia has him listed as being an Amerk right now.  Pretty sure that's incorrect as they're also showing Östlund and Georgiev as Amerks already too.

Glad they are to this stage. Curious to see how they run the last 2 preseason games. I'd assume give Mrtka more action. I hope they waive Bryson, he's not been good this preseason in comparison to Novikov, Johnson, or Jones.

Lecyshyn, Kozak, Dunn, and Geertsen all  have to clear waivers so it would be normal to drop them at the last minute as all the other teams are trying to do the same thing. Less chance of a claim. I think Östlund was just in line for another game. Only claim I worry about is Kozak.

With Samuelsson injured, real good chance for Johnson to start the year in the top 6.  Actually prefer that to Jones taking that slot all things equal as Johnson's still on the upswing and Jones is what he is.

Lecyshyn and Geertsen aren’t going to make the Sabres. Seen enough of both of them in Vegas/Henderson to know that neither are going to make any sort of difference,

Making a difference and making the Sabres are two vastly different things

I think Lindy will keep Geertsen as an extra forward, he had him in NJ and wants someone who can “address situations” like Rob Ray.

Could see him wanting to keep him around, but depending upon who's injured/ close to ready, he might not have the luxury of doing that.  He's got 3 players out that might not be someone he wants to put on IR (Luukkonnen, Samuelsson, and Kulich) and if at least 2 of them are day to day but not ready 10 or so days from now, then he might not have the luxury of keeping Geertsen up.

Do expect he'll see some action this year; and again, do believe Ruff would like to keep hm as a spare from day 1; but not convinced that makes sense as he'll likely keep Johnson and Bryson up (presuming Samuelsson doesn't go IR) leaving only 1 healthy spot in the press box.  If Kulich's injury drags or if UPL is close but not quite ready; there's no room for Geertsen.  

(And am expecting Greenway to start on IR.)

The Amerks should dominate. I’d rather see several of these — good or bad — at the NHL level than many of the players we are keeping at that level. Tired of so many of them.

Does Cameron Rowe have an AHL contract?  I had to look him up, but it does seem a bit odd to have Levi and then 3 first year pros in net.  They'll get one of the vets eventually (Georgiev).  Even still, that's a lot of inexperience to start out in the ECHL.  I did wonder a bit if Georgiev would be let out of his contract if he didn't stick in the NHL, but that can't happen at this point.

His is one of about 8 names I don't recognize and I suspect are guys looking to earn contracts.

We seem to be lining up for Georgiev/Levi tandem in Rochester, assuming he clears waivers, which should be wonderful for the Amerks record, but maybe not the best way to develop Ratzlaff and Leinonen.

@Brawndo had earlier wondered if Ratzlaff goes back to juniors as an overager. Another option might be loaning Georgiev to another AHL team needing a #1.
