inkman Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago What exactly do you think the Sabres can get for 9th overall in a weak draft class? 1 Quote

What if, and stay with me, we put the pick in a package with other assets. Ik ik Adams isn't good enough for that but we can dream. 2 1 Quote

We can't just keep doing what we have been doing and expect a different result. Any player we draft 9th isn't making an impact in the NHL for at least 2-3 years. That's a useless asset as far as I'm concerned. Find a cap strapped team with a crappy talent pool and trade them the 9th pick for an NHL player that helps us make the Sabres better. If they 9th pick isn't enough to get the right player, than add other assets, but get something done. 1 Quote

Pick #9, Quinn and Samuelsson or Clifton for a proper top 4 D man. How about that? (the Clifton/Samuelsson part is to shed salary to help pay Byram and that top 4 D man long term) for example. As above, it has to be a package. Quote
SabreFinn Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago I think it could be wise to keep the pick and in 3-4 years have a player on a cheap contract to hopefully put in the line-up. We have plenty of other assets to trade, like Rosen for example, that will never be roster players for Sabres but might be one on another team. Quote
sabremike Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago The idea our "reward" for the single most catastrophic failure of a season in team history is likely a AAAA "not an AHL player but not an NHL player either" guy is just beyond depressing. Quote
steveoath Posted 54 minutes ago Report Posted 54 minutes ago “Hi Islanders….. pick no9 and one of Quinn Samuelson or byram for Dobson?” Quote
