Only six teams in NFL history have started 4–0 and missed the playoffs. Let that sink in.

Right.  The Bills are winning the division.  Book it.

Pretty sure they won’t win the division, but they will make the playoffs.

Oh, and ***** Terry Pegula.

Pitt with starting tackles out, Cincy with Burrow, the Pats, and Eagles down the road… this will be an uphill climb to make it.

What a joke.
If I knew missing the playoffs would be the end of Beane and McDermott   I would sign up for it.   As a Sabres fan, I know they are here for awhile still

Dallas got Pickens for a 3rd and a 5th

imagine if Beane didn't live in a world where wide receivers don't matter?

im almost to the point of hoping they miss the playoffs, just for a chance to see the end of the Beane / McDermott era

Pickens is a UFA at season’s end and it crossed my mind that he could be a good target.  Outside receiver with elite Yards per Reception.
With that said, hindsight is 20:20 on your trade snark.
Pickens wore out his welcome in Pitt over two years as he was criticized multiple times for lacking effort on the field. The last time was toward the end of the second season due to not run blocking and his response was he was attempting to avoid injury.

I could just as easily see him crashing back down to earth with effort and process when he’s no longer in a contract year…

Probably gonna be too expensive for the Bills to sign.

Because I care whether Inky cares.

Alrighty then. Any how - Go Bills. I’m still glad to be part of a franchise with one of the most passionate and committed fan bases in sports. I was at a B-Dubs outside New Orleans, and the Saints “fans” I talked to were peak bandwagon energy. Every team has bandwagon fans—no avoiding that—but I like to tell myself the Bills have fewer than most. Maybe it’s the years of weathering heartbreak together. Either way, I’ll take die-hard loyal over fair-weather loud any day.

Imagine if the Bills had foresight and fired McDermott last season (as he should have) and hired Ben Johnson?!

Can we get one these type of motivators instead of the "praise Jesus" types ?

Everything is fun while you are winning, lets see how it ends...

We had a 17 year drought... And I still remember very good tailgates and fan hood during that time.

Drinking trumps common sense.  The NHL does not have that benefit.. and here we are.

Both starting OT's missing today.

Please don't get Allen killed.

I just wish the Bills had an excellent blocking TE they could use to give Allen extra protection.

Both starting OTs being out could actually be a blessing in disguise.  Brady and Kromer aren't going to expect the backups to be able to stop Watt and crew without help, so they'll actually be giving the line extra help.

They have too much faith in Dawkins and Brown that they can be playing through injury against some of the top rushers in the league and still get the job done without any help.

I wanted to smack Brady in the head last week for not using the TE or a RB to help chip block the Houston DEs.   He seems to get lost in his gameplan.  I think Brady has done a poor job this season and if he gets the LSU HC job I hope he goes and I wish him the best.

Today is going to set the tone for the rest of the season.   They can win and rise up and make a run, or they can crash.    They absolutely need to stop turning the ball over and win the turnover ratio today.  They will need the defense and special teams to step up.

Looking for better preparation and a better start.

Hawes can block. So can the FB.

There are several ways to slow down the pass rush coming from the outside.

I remember the role of chip blocking the DE was one of the many things that Thurman Thomas did with excellence.  He could slow down the pass rusher, peel away and get open.  Thurman had a way of making the reception while squaring himself forward to make the first defender miss.  We don't have a back like that but Ty Johnson a decent receiver, I think they should consider using him to chip block and flare out for quick reception.

Unleash Ty or Cook or Harris in the old Thurman role.
