I am not picturing Bots, Krueger, Terry, and Rip Simmonick sitting in a candle lit room asking the board who they should trade Risto for.

Actually I can but I think they're the type of group who would prefer one of those paper fortune tellers.

The analytics department is underfunded because the team has sunk all it's funds when they merged the Phrenlogy & Astrology departments into Pegual's "Cranial-Zodiac Department of Selecting Players Good At Hockey".

Jean-Gabriel Pageau was traded to the New York Islanders by the Ottawa Senators on Monday.

Ottawa received a conditional first-round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft, a second-round pick in 2020 and a conditional third-round pick in 2022.

If the first-round pick in 2020 becomes a top-three pick, the Senators will get the Islanders' unconditional first-round selection in 2021. Ottawa will receive the third-round pick in 2022 if New York wins the Stanley Cup

Zach Parise to the Islanders it appears

Ladd going the other way

That is interesting.

Ladd, 34 with 3 years left at 5.5M

Parise, 35 with 5 years left at 7.5M

Ladd has only palyed 26gp last year, and 2 this year. Seems like a prime candidate for LTIR?

Parise has 21-16-37 in 61gp

Two ex Sabres in trade.  Derek Grant to the Flyers for Criscuolo and a 4th.

Fun fact -  Derek Grant, whom the Sabres failed to extend in 2017 (JB went with Pouliot, Griffith and Josefson) signed with the Ducks for one year $650K and went on to score 12 goals that year, just brought back more to the Ducks than Scandella did for Buffalo.

To be fair, he had Zero goals and 3a in 40 games with us.  Not exactly a way to get an extension. Pouliot also had 13 goals for us the following season.

Failed to extend?  At that point he had failed to score a single goal since Lincoln was in office.  And Philly only throws in Criscuolo because they have to keep their total contract count down.

He have seen a lot of revisionist history lately.  For example, the comments on the great Robin Lehner.
