This may have been discussed and I may be kicking a dead horse, but when growing up it was a football jersey, and a hockey sweater. Have we moved to the point were in all sports on draft day the newest team member pulls a jersey over his head? The NBA doesn't do it. I don't think the MLB does either. My question was more of , It's ok to just refer to them as Jerseys? No one on SS is the "sweater Nazi"? There are still times, and I think Mike Robitaille is one of the old school people, that will correct any one that calls them jerseys.
