That means they will HAVE TO beat the Browns, Raiders, Dolphins and Jets..... and 9-7 is even guaranteed to get a playoff spot. This win was pivotal and we can blame coaching on the loss. SwampD Posted November 9, 2014 Report Share Posted November 9, 2014 Here are a few of my observations on this game. -Our D is really good. -Alex Smith is really good. -McKelvin might be the stupidest human on the planet. Your fumble directly led to the Chiefs taking the lead for good. On your next great return, don't take your helmet off and act like we should praise you. Jackass! -weave, that should have been a penalty. I can't figure out why it wasn't. - No way was that a false start. -Gronkowski would absolutely not have had that PI called on him. -Why so many empty backfields with that much time on the clock and another 1st down to be had. Hackett is suspect. -The fact that we were even in that game with a banged up #1 RB, relying on out #3 and 4RBs, half a #1 WR, and Kyle Orton as our QB,… pretty respectable if you ask me. Baby steps. How is it possible that when the offense went out there at the end of the game they were completely unprepared? Marrone didn't fumble the ball out of the endzone. If you want to hold the coach accountable, then do it for the decisions he makes. Like going for it on 4th down and not kicking a field goal. Those are the spots that the Bills were slotted to draft prior to any trades. 1, 8, 12, 16, 23, 13, 13, 28, 24, (13), 13, 5, 11. Those are the spots that the Sabres were slotted prior to any trades/lottery movements. The Bills selection was higher twice. Bills average: 9.2. Sabres average: 13.9. Bit of a difference. If the player comes in with a history of fumbles then it is clear that the coaching staff didn't properly address ball security with the player because like the Sammy Watkins play a couple of weeks ago, it should have never happened. LabattBlue Posted November 9, 2014 Report Share Posted November 9, 2014 (edited) I posted my thoughts over on TSW, but I'll share the same thing here... 4 mind boggling events... 1 - Bryce Brown fumble on a play where if tackled would have been 1st and goal inside the 5. 2 - Chandlers inability to easily grab Brown's fumble in the endzone. 3 - McKelvin fumble leading to game winning score for KC. 4 - Four incomplete passes to the endzone from 1st and 10 at the 15 with the Bills in a great position to score. The OC has been stubborn and has been running the ball all year long, and with the game on the line in a situation where they were in 4 down territory...4 pass plays. I think this is myopic analysis and discounts the other team and their actions and motivations. I can see if you are arguing that a player catches the punt inside the 10 as a coach-able moment. Those 3 shots at the end zone on our last real drive? They were all awful throws. Of course the turnovers hurt, and Marrone is Jauronesque, but we still had every opportunity to win.
