I don’t understand this take. No assets sent the other way. From a fans perspective its a free pick.

Donald J Trump, your thoughts on his Presidency
Weave replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Oval Office (Politics)'s Topics
It aint over. Trump might be over, but the movement he got rolling is just getting started. Unless alot of people are in prison prior to the next group of Congress is seated this is gonna get worse. -
It does require enough good vets to bring the kids along. We could use another.
-
That team also had Bobby Smith, Larry Robinson, Carbonneau, Gainey, Trembley, Deblois. That was a hell of a veteran core around those kids. Our veteran core around the kids is Okposo, Skinner, Tuch, Anderson. It’s not unreasonable to question whether there is enough cagey veterans on the roster.

Annual expectations thread 2022/23: #21 Kyle Okposo
Weave replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
I don’t expect a performance dip if he remains healthy. His game doesn’t seem to have fading skill sets and his legs are keeping up. At least last season they kept up. His shot hasn’t faded at all and his game is predicated on pressure on the puck. He still gets to pucks so it should remain effective. He’ll be captain, and the right captain. -
Interesting that they didn’t mention Mitts. Seems like he’d be an obvious mention. I can’t help but try and read something into it. Not sure what though.

Whats the crazy thing you would do for a Stanley cup?
Weave replied to Buffalonill's topic in The Aud Club
Not a damned thing. My participation has no effect on whether they win the thing, so why would I do something stupider than my usual? -
Annual expectations thread 2022/23: #19 Peyton Krebs
Weave replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
I think Krebs is going to be a 3rd line player, and not in a Vanek-Pominville-Roy way. More of a Brian Holzinger way. -

Then cut your hair, hippie. -
Had the pleasure of fishing with @SwampDthis morning. We met up at Canadice Lake bright and early with the kayaks and fishing gear in tow. Fishing was slow. We caught a couple, but what a great morning. We launched at 6:30 into a light fog covered lake. The winds stayed damn near dead calm all morning. There were wisps of fog lingering until almost 10am. The lake was a mirror for 5 hours. And the clearest fresh water I have ever seen. It was my first time on Candice. We were exploring as much as we were fishing. Great time. Great scenery. Great company. We’ll lay into the fish next time.

I’m really surprised at how this news is making it difficult for me to concentrate. This is incredibly saddening. Wow.

I’m having trouble processing this. My family had a place in the Institution for decades. My wife and I had a place there for awhile. I can’t fathom this kind of violence occurring in a serene, beautiful, PEACEFUL setting like the Chautauqua Institution. I am floored.

Holy crap!

Welcome to our world. I wish we hadn’t exported that.

Closing the Aud, how could I not have included that one? Good add, PA.

Sabres Latest Embedded Episode Building the Pipeline
Weave replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
My takeaway is, they were so convinced by their rankings that someone else would select Kulich before they could….. means either they saw something all those other GMs didn’t see, or maybe their analytics overrating some players. We’ll definitely see which it is in a few years. -
The overall problem with that tweet is the flag. It is a thin blue line flag. The concept of a thin blue line is the issue at hand. It is what resulted in a cop killing an unarmed man reasonably close to that arena without fear of repercussions. It is the thin blue line concept that resulted in 3 other cops watch, and assist that cop slowly kill an unarmed man. Thin blue line imagery and language has no business being a part of any appreciation night. Thin blue line is a disgusting reality. I hope that event is crushed with poor response. Not because cops shouldn’t be appreciated, but because the thin blue line needs to be destroyed.
