Josh Norris has an Upper Body Injury; Zach Benson is hospitalized
Weave replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
The infection part was speculation. If I remember correctly it was internal bleeding that hospitalized him. -
I really don’t think it is more common than it used to be, and if I am being honest with myself, I was one of those menaces through much of my 20s. I spent most of the last 25 yrs commuting 45 min+ on rural roads. I saw what you described frequently. Multiple times Ive had to take evasive action with all 4 wheels on a soft shoulder to avoid a head on collision on a 2 lane 55mph road because someone in too much of a hurry decided to make a pass near a curve, or on a hill. And in my dumber days Ive been the cause of someone else taking evasive action. Not proud of it, but I was that guy sometimes too. We are all guilty at times of being in our own world, concerned only with what’s directly in front of us. Late for work, or rushing to a commitment, or responding to something in our personal life. And sometimes we are just over aggressive *****. Thankfully the vast majority of us grow out of it, or just plain stop being in a big damn hurry.

Waiving UPL and having him claimed would be gross mismanagement of the resource. Fireable offense IMO.

Sabres among the teams to check in on Chinakhov

You just did? -
I don’t think they should move him. At least not this year. Ellis likely doesn’t clear waivers when the 3 headed monster is resolved. Levi is important for Rochester whether he likes it or not.
-
While the accuracy of the claim can be questioned, It’s certainly plausible. I have no way of knowing if Peters has valid inside info, or if he’s chasing clicks. I like to give someone the benefit of the benefit of the doubt until shown otherwise. While I do think Levi has been given every opportunity and has failed to grasp the chance, I can def see where Levi might think he hasn’t been given a fair chance. Levi’s AHL numbers are really solid. UPL has been disappointing in general. Signing Lyon, a journeyman, had to feel like Levi wasn’t going to be considered. I can’t imagine there would be much value in Levi around the league. It sure would suck if the primary target in the Reinhart trade turns out to be worth a mid round pick or something.

Statistically, we’ll know by American Thanksgiving.

Go Blue!

He was hurt in camp, no? They may enter him into the lineup on 3rd pair until they are comfortable he’s got his game legs.

Run the theee headed monster long enough to be sure of the top 2, then make a trade. Might take a few weeks for the top 2 to really become clear. I don’t trust Ellis any more than I trust UPL. We need to verify which is going to be last man standing.

The 5 headed Goalie Monster - What is the solution?
Weave replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
Over a rather small sample size. It remains to be seen if the situation is better than the last couple of years. The past history of these three is either inconsistent or nonexistent. -
I've never had a Sabres sweater with a player name. But...

I just can’t get a jersey of a player younger than I am. It just feels….. weird. Id have to go with a legacy name. -
The 5 headed Goalie Monster - What is the solution?
Weave replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
2 observations. 1. This is what goalie purgatory looks like. 2. Shiny new toy syndrome strikes again. We have two goalies with performance we can use to predict outcome. Unfortunately, the data for both is mixed. Lyon seems to be the one most likely to succeed, but his past doesn’t seem to be great predictor of it. UPL has had flashes, but his consistency and injury history makes it all but impossible to rely upon. Yet he is the one with textbook size and reflexes. And the shiny new toy that everyone wants to cheer for has no past to speak of. He is the definition of using hope as a plan. i think there is no choice but to run a 3 headed monster again. Gat dam is this team badly mismanaged. -
Wait….. is Dudacek taking a conditional nap?
