It was between a bunch of empty seats. Even Karen needed to get out of her seat. Do you really expect fans to sit on their hands with a ball rolling around?

Adam Mair Placed on Leave after DWI with 3 Kids in Car.
Weave replied to Mustache of God's topic in The Aud Club
As a fan we loved the game Mair played. The aggression, the big hits, the fights, the physical intimidation. With the recent transparency over hockey and CTE and the type of game Mair played, I don’t feel I have room to judge him at all. I cheered on his aggressive game. I cheered on the fights. Even the ones where he got his head handed to him, and there were alot of those. Given what we know about the game, CTE, and the depression, anxiety, and substance abuse that goes along with it, I can’t help but feel a level of complicity. (Is that the right word here?) Adam, I don’t know you from Adam, but I know you played the way I wanted you to play, and the aftermath likely contributed to where you are today. I hope the help he gets is effective. And I hope this doesn’t ruin his life. It was a scary lesson. Hopefully its a lesson learned. -
Groundhog Day. I agree with you re: Adams. How he didn’t get let go as a business move alone is surprising to me.

I purposely avoided all the sordid details, but wasn’t McLeod exposed as the biggest ***** bag in the group, or am I misremembering? -
Given the guy plays at arms length and rarely seems to lean in or box out, I never considered that comment worth noting. They say a leopard doesnt change his spots. He would need to dramatically change his spots.

OT:Bills and MLSE to announce marketing relationship

Rooting alongside snooty, loud, pretentious Toronto fans? Ewwwww! Can you imagine a stadium 1/3 full of Promo the robot types with a Canadian accent? 🤣 -

Wells r hard? Non-snarky response: This feels like partially unwinding the time we had “home games” in Canada. Me no likey. -

Was that win in regulation?

Add it to an actual lifetime of suffering and you know why I only contribute snark to the forum now.

You have way too much old man in your Sabrespace game to have been only 7 in 1993.

Every team ends up with contracts like this during the 2nd half of a players career. It is the natural price that needs to be paid to have very good veterans on your team. Avoiding these deals means you are committing your top veterans to cap out at about Zucker level.

Nah. The thin line is between love and apathy.

My recollection is he played a fair part of 1 season at center when we had a couple of injuries or something up front. It didn’t last beyond the roster issue. And had a few games the next season. He definitely was not drafted as a 2 position player. He was all D in high school. I do seem to recall it “tainted” a 20 goal season as he did play forward for a notable portion of the season.

Because you are the only one that believes your bull *****.

I really needed a good laugh today.

I certainly didn’t get that read off Thompsons’ interview earlier this offseason. I forget the source now, but he seemed concerned for this teams ability to turn it around. He seemed quite frustrated about it, IMO.

There is no salary cap on team management. Its not my money. Spend what it takes. Drill a ***** well. -
I had no idea Corey Sarich was in the league that long.

I just can’t get that level of emotion anymore. I need a purple pill for hockey.

For me, the lowest point has been an ongoing saga. My interest is basically at the bottom of a reverse plateau. That depth was hit quite some time ago. I can’t really define when the bottom of the trench was reached, but my god its been a long damn trench to trudge through. Furthest point from the last drink of water resonates with me however.
