Pray and tune up your sarcasm meter.

It's a horrible spot for a fan. We're already hearing, "Yeah, there's no way they can make up x points in 64 games" snark.

There's not no way, but it'll be very tough.

Just don't see a point in a heroic run to 84 points.

Winning 3 of 5 (0.600) is the correct pace for a full season, but falling behind is a problem so it will take a nice winning steak right now to get back.  Play at 1.000 for 8 games, shock the world, after that be a steady 3 of 5.  Otherwise you have to beat 3 of 5 pace.

Are inflatable palm trees still a thing at game? Asking for a friend. 🤣

No.  They need a win streak.  They have 4 home games on a row.  I would think the boys need a more positive energy to get things going.

My sense is that Lindy isn't enamored with Ryan Johnson. Why? I don't know. Maybe it is a style of play that doesn't fit with his concept how a defenseman should play. When I watch him play it seems that he's comfortable playing against NHL players and is more of a blend in player than a thumper at the position. (As you described.) It just seems to me that Ruff has an opinion of him and isn't receptive to changing it. Sometimes old-style coaches are not as adaptable as they need to be. It won't be surprising that there will soon be murmurs that he wants to be dealt to another organization.

The relevant question is why Lindy feels like Bryson is the better option? Perplexing to me.

matter teed me up...

This is the first Sabres home game the day after a Bills game this season. Last year they went 1-3, allowing six goals in the three losses.

Take the under +175 3.5 goals and a prop bet of a Sabre leaving the game carrying an appendage (5:2 his own).

The worst is a bad Sabres loss the day before a Bills game...I feel like that's a bad omen and usually leads to not a great game from the Bills.

When we start getting bodies back we can turn this around. We're only 6 points out of the wildcard with a game at hand. Win that game at hand, we're four points out after playing 19 games. It's a long season.

I have no doubt they called... here is the thing... how does Adams trade this guy...  Well... he seems to be in a precarious position in his job... I cannot see him trading him and making the team worse... so he would need to get a package going to get the best player in the trade... this is not likely to happen because of the NMC that seem to bar any NHLer that has one from coming here....  So any trade would be for multiples of less player, prospects and picks.... probably not gonna catapult us into the playoffs....   Pegula... the other way they make the trade is if Pegula is pushing for it for whatever reason ... i.e reducing payroll... in that instance  again I do not see this as a benefit move for the Sabres....  Lastly, because Tage wants to force his way out and they have to go get something for him... well... that certainly doesnt bode well for the Sabres either....   Bottom line, I do not see KA trading this player on his own as I think it would be very difficult to make the team better by doing so and his job should likely be on the line...  UNLESS he has assurances from TP that he will be brought back next year and into the future... then Adams gonna Adams... and that is also bad for the Sabres...

Ellis is the hot hand. Seems right Lindy would start him.

Season 5 Nbc GIF by The Office

Except for one thing. Goalies are weird and have fragile egos. Lyon carried them early. Lyon earned the top role. Lyon gets pulled early but told it's not you it's me wanting a momentum shift but then Lyon doesn't get the net. What's in Lyon's head now? It's just weird handling all around and they need to ditch one of them and say these are the two (Ellis and Lyon imo) and end the nonsense.

If they can get Edmonton to play wide open (which Edmonton can fall into) they can win this but the PK better still be good to say the least.

All Tage has to say is "I don't want to be here" and he'll instantly be dealt for a small bag of used pucks.

Sure give us your best 3 players 25 and under as well as 2 first round draft pick, 3 if you are picking at the end of the round.

I predict a great game from Bryson tonight.

He can defend when it’s against skaters. It’s when he has to fight in front of the net that he falls short.

He’s going to pot one, as well. That’s my prop bet.

Benson hasn’t practiced since the injury, so he’s out tonight for sure.

The weird part was Lindy said he was skating on his own and he actually said there was a chance he played on the road trip....that obviously didnt happen, and there was no mention of him at all today
