I do not remember power plays in the 70’s thru 90’s that purposefully use drop passes.  It sucks. 

I loved it when Gilbert came back, pick up the puck behind the net, and single handedly carried the puck into the other teams zone with an option to shoot or pass.  That guy spoiled my watching of the game.  That became an expectation.  

 

Ok, period over.  Good job Sabres, Ellis held them in, but they need more shots.

He doesn't. He's trying to do what Benson does which is feed pucks to the HD area but he never draws the defense to him 1st.

He has some of the worst hockey sense the sport has ever seen ... he's at Cozens level. Tuch isn't much better, especially on the PP.

It's 10pm so I'm happy the Sabres are up but it is time for bed.  Apparently I haven't had enough RYSE ENERGY DRINK.  (Has anyone ever actually seen that for sale in a retail shop?)
