Stutzle is excellent, but Pinto is mediocre, Cozens lousy and Eller old. I'd say about half are equally mediocre. However, they have goaltending, scoring depth, defensemen who defend and better coaching. But mediocrity isn't the question. You keep everything else the same and swap out the center spines -- which group would you rather have? Eller and Evans are there to kill penalties and win d zone faceoffs, which they do. But Stutzle and Suzuki are so much better than anyone the Sabres can put at 1C that I take their full spines in a heartbeat over the list as shown. Boston is the only team that I clearly rank below the Sabres. McLeod is good. Kulich has some potential. Krebs is a JAG at this point who is poor in the dot. Kozak is a 4th/tweener. 1 Quote

If I am guessing he is in the hospital after taking a puck to the face this week... sounds like an infection to me... and ask Jay McKee, if it is that is nothing to mess with.. hope he heals quick... He took the stupid penalty that led to the icing that led to him being unable to move the puck 4' out of the zone off that next faceoff that led to the game winner being scored. Great choice, Lindy. 😒 Quote

While I don’t love the center spine, when I look at the Sabres objectively (or at least try to) I see center as the least of our issues. Look at the team with its current injuries. Bryson and Johnson are starting D. Timmins is on the top 4. Lyon is the starting G with AHL vet Ellis as his backup. Danforth and Malenstyn are playing regular minutes with Geersten on the roster. We have much bigger issues then center. 1 Quote

They have a couple Cups.... but Florida isn't making excuses for Barkov or Tkachuk just yet. During the season I'm sure they'll get a bit of flak when someone says "oh, yeah, we missed Barkov, he's one of the best" when a team reporter asks them a leading question "Normally you'd rely on Barkov in that situation... probably missed him today, huh?" How the F**K do you hurt yourself taking a goddamn faceoff? Is this guy made of balsa wood or something? In the history of this sport, how many people have been injured taking a draw without getting touched? This has to be one of the most fragile human beings to ever put on a pair of skates. The Tua of hockey. Quote

What's the old saying, "The best ability is availability." Josh Norris had a clear, well known medical and injury history. The genius GM with an internet Master's degree with no prior experience as a GM decided this was a good deal for the Sabres. Yikes! Kevyn Adams might be a nice guy, but he is entirely unqualified to be a GM and his record proves it. No opinion, just fact! Quote
