We have Schroedinger’s backup. We don’t know if he’s a #2 until we open the box. That’s a fun situation for a team with a 14 year playoff drought. The worst part is it’s still an improvement over Georgiev. 1 Quote

Admittedly Adams put us in the situation where any breathing goalie was worth a try, but at least Georgiev has played good hockey in the NHL at times and Ellis has very good AHL numbers, but was stuck behind Binnington. It would have been nice if Georgiev worked out, but so be it. Good luck in Rochester or with your new team I had honestly no problem with any of the signings... but they are stop gap depth signings... Adams seems to be focused on these types... he unfortunately may not understand he has a problem... or he is simply incapable of fixing it... cause its been a problem since Ryan Miller left... which poses the question... where we you when Ryan Miller left... he had a shot in Ulmark, but he whiffed on that... Goalie is the hardest situation to fix though, Unless Boston is tired of Swaymans antics anytime soon and they will send him west anyway. I doubt we can have a shot at a good goalie via trade. 15 Teams are looking for the same thing as us for years now. I like the Ellis waiver claim just for this reason alone, have to take shots until someone works out. 1 Quote

I suppose they could mutually terminate his contract, but both parties would need to agree. And he's getting NHL money regardless. Would he get that in Europe, or in any other NHL organization? He should just come down, play well and parlay that into another NHL opportunity here or elsewhere. Quote

The guy who took seven seasons to amass as many rushing yards as OJ did in one? Keep Warner for discussions like this, but drop Marmalade. Quote

I feel like I’m on the lowest end of the old guy group around here and I don’t think this reference was all that old. He played during our superbowl era and later. Quote
CallawaySabres Posted 22 minutes ago Report Posted 22 minutes ago Of course he cleared waivers 🤣I mean, if Buffalo was letting this guy go, who on God's green earth was going to think he was any good?! Quote
