The thing that might be a fly in the Bills ointment as far as getting the 1 seed is the Texasses play in a division that is at least as bad as the East and very possibly even worse.  The results of the Dolt Fishies game not withstanding.  😉

The Tex-***** will not be near the #1 seed.  Who do they play outside the division - not sure, but this part of the schedule will keep them in the 10 to 12 win range.

What a game.  Play of the game has to be Oliver poking it out with 2 or 3 minutes left.  This is what the NFL craves.

Of the big 3 (may have to include Cincy at some point this year) in the AFC only the Bills are on 1 win after week 1.

I think the Chiefs will have a down year and will end up a wildcard.  Kelce is obviously distracted.  Mahomes does not look right - just a bit off in game 1.  All those close wins last year was an indication of them faltering a bit.  I don't think the same luck will prevail this season.

Not sure how it would all work out, but I would love to see a Bills - Ravans AFCCG in Orchard Park.

The 'Battered Bills Fan' in me was glad that Coleman got tripped up at the end. The Bills would have had to make the 2-point conversion then kick off to the Ravens putting the ball back in Lamar's hands with however many seconds remained and all (?) their timeouts. Feels like we've been down that road before and it didn't end well.

It worked out, but in an alternate universe where McClappy leaves the first extra point on the board and doesn't go for two, and continues to kick the PATs, the Bills would have been at 41 points without the field goal.  But then the Bills would be in the opposite situation toward the end:  Up by less than a field goal and in a position to kill the clock.  Changes the dynamic of the game.  It all worked out, but I thought that was awful game management to keep doubling down (literally) and going for the two-pointers. 

If they just moved on after the first unconverted 2-point attempt and kicked PATs thereafter, they would have been tied at the end and each team would be driving for a game winning FG.  What happens then?

I mean, we got the desired result, but if the Bills coaching staff had made "better" decisions after touchdowns they might have lost.  They won by playing wrong.

Or how about if the last two point conversion actually works? Baltimore gets the ball with around 2 minutes left in a tie game, only needing a field goal to win. The whole thing is just a perfect (and lucky) sequence of events that resulted in the perfect ending.

For my part, I would not relish a playoff rematch with the Ravens. They are just a bad matchup for the Bills. Plus they have Lamar.

Not me, I would love to pound the crap out of KC in the AFC championship game, preferable at home in the Bills last game ever at Highmark.  

Beating Reid and Mahommes in the playoffs, and KC being an old AFL Rival, that would be fantastic.

After that bring home the Lombardi Trophy!

Also, the Bills are matched up against the NFC South this year, which is a division that shouldn't even exist in pro sports.  The Chiefs and Chargers have it tougher with the NFCE, and the Ravens have to deal with the stacked NFCN.

Will they get better? Yes

Did they make big plays when they needed them most? Yes

Did the Bills stand in against their toughest opponent this year and find a way to win when it seemed impossible? Yes

I read last night that they have one of the easiest schedules in the league the rest of the way.

I was encouraged with Coleman and Palmer and how they might transform this offence as the year progresses.

If they can stay healthy until week 7 then I think things will change on the defensive side of the ball.

As for the item above: The Eagles may want a word. But I take your point. I think that the Eagles and Ravens have the best two rosters in the NFL.

Nope you are right. I had a brain fart and forgot the Eagles game. That will be their biggest challenge. Hopefully the D is all back and better equipped for that game.
