Biro is a point machine!

UPL is again controlled chaos with exemplary support from his team.

Mitts is the new Mitts.

Krebs is the old Mitts who takes way more dumb penalties.

That first period the team was a wall on the blue line. After that whatever they were doing fell apart.

Good to see Tommy Dangles has his dangle back.

Good team victory. Lots of sacrifices, no stupid cute plays.

We are 5-5-0 after 10. Last year, we were 7-3-0. But that's where the fun ended - we immediately began our 8 game losing streak at this point last year. So if we do better than 2-6-0 in our next 8, we will be in a better position than last year at Thanksgiving. Keep the train rolling fellas.

UPL is still getting lucky once in a while the last two games, but his angles and movement and control seem noticeably improved.

I've been thinking I'd rather have a lukewarm October instead of the hot starts we've had the past few years if that means the wheels don't completely fall off in November. Here's hoping this win streak keeps rolling.

I think the obvious improvement in UPL's goaltending is the support from the rest of the team.

UPL still overplays the first save, loses track of the puck, and can't pivot or move quickly or fluidly.

The important thing is that the team in front of him recognizes this and is doing something about it - which should bode well for Levi.

Thompson quietly had 3 points tonight including the clutch 4th goal.

His goal and pass back to Power for a score were critical plays. @Pimlach had him as our second star in this game. His judgment was sound. What's impressive about TNT is that for a big man he can maneuver in tight spaces, as those two plays demonstrated.

And with the W tonight, the Sabres are officially NOT in last place in their division.  Courtesy of having played more games than the Swamp Cats and the Otters and picking up 4 points in those 2 games, the Sabres 10 points is good for 6th in the division.  Baby steps.

Everything you need to know about Johnson, blocking a shot with 10 seconds to go with his team winning 5-2

Leadership by example… and what a fine example he is for his teammates…
