I have to imagine the Canucks gave Schenn the professional courtesy to choose his landing spot. But it still sucks.

Quite possibly, but doesn't make me feel better about the Stillman trade.

We get a lousy player who is barely a 7/8 for a decent prospect and Tor gets a legit top 6 player with Cup winning experience for less than we paid.  Great job KA.  I guess getting a lousy player under contract for another season after that explains the over payment.

I've never seen someone so mad about a bottom 6 prospect.

Schenn sucks.

No he doesn't and hasn't since he changed his game to a stay at home physical player the last 3-4 years, but thanks for playing.

Let's compare Stillman to Schenn

Schenn - 55gp 3g 18a +9 17:11 TOI 258 Hits 81 Bks

Stillman - 32 gp 0g 5a -14 16:06 TOI 52 Hits 34 Bks

Read some charts that said Schenn and Stillman are roughly the same player.

Saw somewhere else that the main difference between them is Stillman played with Myers while Schenn got to play with Hughes?

Only semi-related, am I the only one wondering if the Leafs are making too many changes to a team that’s been pretty damn good, and much improved defensively this year?

I agree with you, but we do have to put in one significant caveat: Schenn has skated a bunch with Hughes.

Stillman has skated a bunch with Myers and guys most folks have never heard of.

Well that's some compelling evidence. I'm glad I played.

If Edmonton opened up salary for Ekholm, and Parayko and 8 billion other D-men also on the market, is the window closing for the Coyotes to get their ask on Chychrun?

And are the Sabres actually going to be able to scoop up the leftovers from that market late?
