My guess is they've become a little overconfident and knew the Flyers have been doo-doo, so they took them pretty lightly. Add in Torts laying into them and they come out and bust their arses. matter2003 Posted January 10, 2023 Report Share Posted January 10, 2023 Didn't get a chance to watch luckily but heard Paul Hamilton after the 2nd and he said they looked terrible in the first and it was probably their worst period of the year, a little better in the 2nd but have been actively preventing themselves from scoring goals tonight and making a dude who is making his 5th NHL start look like Hasek. Basically it bought the Sabres some time so they didn't have to make an actual move until they had to make an actual move. That move likely isn't going to be UPL going back to Rochester, btw.
