GASabresIUFAN Posted February 21, 2018 Report Share Posted February 21, 2018 (edited) The US coach blew that game for the team. Yes the coach. In the second, with the team exhausted because of a bunch of icing, he refused to call time out and the Czechs scored to take the lead.  Then he didn't put his best goal scorer Donato in the shootout and also placed his best shootout player (Terry) as the last shooter instead of first to try to get a lead. Terrible coaching. It's important to note how the coach was wrong and not how a group of players tried for 42 seconds to make sure Wisniewski got the puck on a one-timer to win it in OT and never managed to get a shot. I watched for about 30 minutes this morning and all these names came up. For Buffalo to field a horrible team over the past half dozen years, they do okay sending players on to the Olympics. Yeh that last powerplay was pathetic. Watched the last period and the level of hockey was sad. That being said Erat was a beast. the Sabres could use him.
