But Karlsson has the skating skills that keep a guy on an elite level for a much longer time. Think Housley, Teppo, Chelios, Lidstrom, Bourque, Coffey. Barring injury, Karlsson is going to be a force approaching 40. Swap Eichel for Karlsson, add Tavares. Instant upgrade. No more complaints of the team sulking. I think this is a great assessment. I agree and I would also make the deal. Yup. I'd like to know who the #1 center is without Jack Even without signing JT I would say that ROR and Samson would be a decent 1 - 2 centre punch. He has looked bad as a third line Centre, or really anywhere in the bottom six. I can’t say we’ve ever seen him play centre with two good wingers. So that remains an open question. After he's done setting NCAA records Jack is gonna be relegated to 13th forward. Might as well get some value for him. Amiright? Ya, no. And frankly, Karlsson is on a HOF path. Jack's got a lot of work to do to get there. I make the trade even if the replacement at center isn't on the roster yet.
