At the same time, it's not unlike if the goalie has the puck in his glove and then puts it into the net. Because you wouldn't just wish the guy well, you'd find a way to twist a phrase and knock someone down a bit. You want help interpreting the phrase (you did ask after all). It means that when you are diagnosed you can certainly give up and almost certainly you will struggle more with the treatment. You may give up all hope and still beat it. However, if you are strong against it. If you don't give up you will give yourself a better chance to beat cancer. It doesn't mean cancer isn't a full on bitch and it might kill you anyway. I think you are taking the things people say way too literally (maybe better stated to say you take the things you've read about what was said). IMO the vast majority of the population does not have sufficient grasp of the language to be taken literally. It was a one short sentence quote. Hell, Myers would get more back than Kaner did. maybe but I think the Sabres will let Nelson walk and he will be very good on someone like the Bruins. Just because we got nothing for Kane means nothing. We are good at losing good players for nothing (they are all over the league on different teams). I agree that the fight between Wheeler and Chariot will be looked at as a "positive" while everything Kane does (or did) was viewed as "negative". Probably a little more to do with icing Scheifele, Wheeler, Laine, Ehlers, Connor, Little, and Hellebuyck having a vezina type season.
