Serious question if the Sabres Draft Pick is in the 9-12 Range and the Sens ask for it in a straight up trade for Hoffman, do you make the trade?

Kardri has played much better this year under new coach and hopefully will continue to play just as he has.  He still a young player and improving under better coaching. Glad you all hate him so much he doing his job.

I wouldn't. That pick, if traded, better be for Risto's partner.

He is basically the player he will be. You might see a 5-10% Flux in stats but he's not that young anymore.

 

As for the game, I like winning, we should do it more often.

It's hard to ignore back to back 27 goal seasons. At 26 six he is in the age range the Sabres should be looking at. As a RFA he is likely looking for a bigger contract than I would like to see the Sabres pay him.  There were rumblings about some locker issues if I recall. I also seem to hear that the Sens are down on him. We heard the same thing about O'Reilly.  I wouldn't just say No right off the bat. 27 goals a year deserves serious consideration. It would really depend on the off-season trade market. As said above, if that 1st round pick can get a top pair D-man to play with Risto, it might be better served to burn that asset at that time. If I am sitting there at the draft table with no deal for a D-man and the sens make a call, I would have to listen.

Its not because he has been playing well, he is a good player but his flaws from a year ago are still there.   I just feel he is getting hyped for a summer trade.

The thing that bothers me is the fact that he dishes out a punch and always gets saved by referees because he punks out.
