I forget who's who around here sometimes. The dude who says he's going to go cheer for another team because he disagrees with what the GM is doing is someone whom I really should just block. I explored the realm of possibly liking a few other football teams, but my original hometown pride always brought me back. Sabres have always been my hockey team though. Now I want Murray to trade for him. He is the highest rated goalie prospect in some time and is the best goalie in the CHL ... and no I'm not being a homer ... he was recently traded to the Remparts. I watched him play for two + years ... he is that good. Sure he was on a stacked team for their 2013 run to the Memorial Cup, but in 2014 and this season the Mooseheads are not that 2013 team. They have only 2 marginal players left from that 2013 team. I have not really thought about what it would take to get him from Montreal, but I am thinking a high end prospect, probably a Dman (Pysyk, maybe) and a 2nd rounder, maybe ... that's just off the top of my head on the fly thinking. You are not alone, my friend. I thought we traded to get that #35 pick just to take Fucale, and I was very unhappy when we didn't take him. Patrick Kane is my favorite player (no hometown hero, just exciting to watch), jerseys/fans are awesome, and I like dynasties. Watching something great is fun. Plus, I can't root for another franchise to win their first Cup before the Sabres do. I've been here as long as I was in Buffalo. I've followed this team since their beginning. It's not a sin to support the local team as long as they're not playing your real team. I'm a fan of the sport, supporting any team is good for the NHL. You could get on my case........ until you factor in the people who left this board completely and no longer watch hockey because the Sabres are currently one of the worst teams in NHL history. You'll be hard pressed to find a bigger fan than me, I have the right to voice my displeasure about a couple of trades. But there's one thing you won't see, and that's me bailing on my team. It seems as though some Sabres fans like to gang up on their own when they don't like something they say. It's a shame really, barbaric. I'm sorry are you lost? The Sabres plan has not been altered. I think, at this point, it's being executed with the precision of a German engineer. You shouldn't be surprised with the responses you receive when you say what you said. And we should all let it go at this point... I'd say some of the responses to JJ have pushed the boundaries too. I certainly don't think what JJ has done approaches some of the other things we've experienced on this board. Perhaps the timing of it could be better because while some are riding an euphoric high on the moves he's there protesting loudly so you might feel slightly more offended than you would in other circumstances. I just think that if he dismantled whatever was left of this team to ensure a 30th place finish like some have said, I don't think it was necessary.
