darksabre
I'm really going to hate watching the Matt Cassel offense if he ends up winning the job. Yeah but he did exactly what you want him to do. No turnovers. No bad throws. Now we get to see if Tyrod is anything.
darksabre
Haha Darby not quite ready for Benjamin yet.

Well if he were making bad throws in addition to being unable to throw beyond 10 yards, he'd be cut :p It might end up working with this defense, but that doesn't mean I'm going to enjoy watching it. I'll watch anything that gets wins. Tyrod is pretty good at ducking pressure and finding open targets. His brain doesn't seem to cramp up like EJ. IKnowPhysics
Taylor is FAST. I know this is as advertised, but it seems to give offensive formations another dimension.
Hoss
Tyrod looking beautiful out there. Two REALLY nice throws down the field (neither play was made by the WR). Quick with his reads. Moving his feet... Slowly locking up the job in my eyes.

That dimension being "oh sh*t this play is f*cked run away!" Ohhhhh Ol' Face Puncher is in!

darksabre
Where Cassel is plodding and mistake free, Taylor is much more boom or bust. I guess it depends on what we want. I think Cassel is the perfect backup.

I think Cassel is the perfect backup. Ultimately I think going with Cassel signals that just making the playoffs is good enough (and I'm sure many fans feel it is), whereas going with Tyrod shows that the goal is more than that even if it comes at the risk of missing out. Totally agree on Cassel being the perfect backup.
The Dominator
Tyrod's threat to run on the read option opened up huge holes on the inside for Bryce. Very interesting dynamic he brings to the offense. His first 2 deep balls should have been caught too. Cassel was very steady and stuck to throws underneath, just as advertised

The Dominator
Darby looks like a young McKelvin tonight. Can stick with his assignment but isn't making a play on the ball. It will come sooner or later though. It's better this way than if he had ball skills but couldn't cover

The Dominator
EJ isn't getting any help out there (not that it really matters, he was screwed once Tyrod and Cassel did what they did). 2 quick snaps, 2 drops.

Hoss
EJ with a BEAUTIFUL deep ball. Was forced to step into it instead of leaning on the back leg. Great throw. Good night for all three. WHAT SAY YOU MATT SIMMS!?

GoPre
Wonder if Rex will play EJ play early in the next game to give him a chance. He has stressed it'll go down to the wire. I have hopes for EJ, but will admit I was excited when the Bills got a hold of TT. Strong arm, rather quick and he backed up Flacco. TT practically has my vote. After tonight, I wonder if the Browns scrimmage next Tuesday will determine who gets the first crack next week between EJ and Tyrod

I'll never argue with results but I am so nervous watching a qb run so much. He did settled a bit after that first series. Nice throw by EJ. shrader
Nick O'Leary continuing to have trouble catching the ball (heard multiple reports on his band hands in camp) I was trying to see if his drop was on him or if it was a bad throw. Unfortunately the Carolina broadcast was too busy talking about Cam Newton's shoes.
