Pominville to Minnesota Wild UPDATE: offered extension.

I have no problem with the move, bringing in some youth and clearing some cap space, plus I was not a big Pommers fan. Haven't seen anything final yet, some sites are saying players with a 1st and 2nd, some say just players and a 2nd and some are saying just Larson and Hackette.

If some of you don't like the trade that's fine, but the fact that some of you are bashing prospects you know next to nothing about is the definition of ignorance :/

At least give our new prospects a chance....

If all you are going to do is google their name and look at their stats and then bash them, don't bother posting

Why do people keep talking about the ###### cap? We now have $20 million to sign 6 players...? How much more room do we need? We also need 3 top 6 players now, and there is no-one good in FA

If we thought this season was bad...can't wait to see what next year is like

David Clarkson should be a target in UFA.

Especially seeing as Miller/Vanek or both will be gone in the offseasson

We're perfectly stocked now to go after Parise and Suter...

Ya, I remember several unhappy campers last year when the deal for Hodgson came down. There are few upset with that trade now.

It is pretty amazing how everyone is an expert on two guys they've never seen play!

+1,000,000 and here is why:

Remember this 1 for 1 guy we got from the Blackhawks?

Season Age Tm Lg GP W L T/O GA SA SV SV% GAA SO MIN GPS G A PTS PIM

1991-92 27 CHI NHL 20 10 4 1 44 413 369 .893 2.60 1 1014 2.4 0 0 0 8

1992-93 28 BUF NHL 28 11 10 4 75 720 645 .896 3.15 0 1429 4.4 0 0 0

Yeah, he really sucked... 3.15 GAA with an .896 save percentage?? How many Vezinas did he win funny guys?? Hmm....

Because the cap will drop by $6 million over the summer. We're fine in that regard, but many teams (Tampa for example) absolutely have to shed salary over the summer to get under the lower cap. Having extra room puts us in a position to take advantage of that (i.e. we can pick up a high priced player or two who will have to be moved due to the cap).
