  1. While having no idea what their actual policy is, if they were to keep an athlete from competing for his country in the olympics because he would miss 6 games of a freshman season, well then shame on them. Olympics are much bigger than college hockey and if he competes and does well it will actually gain exposure for their program, and id expect they realize that. Who knows if he would ever get a shot to play in the olympics again
  2. Ullmark is the man. McCabe and legwand nice work. Oreilly on the face offs was clutch. Bylsma looked fired up woo
  3. Unbelievable. Ref had eyes right on it and deliberately chose to not call it. No way that was missed
  4. Leggy has been good. I think McCabe has had a great game too
  5. Eichel definitely having a rough game. Oh well
  6. I hate the yeichel call. Can't stand it actually. Cringed when I heard it the first goal he scored and actually assumed it was a mistake and RJ was just in the moment. Really hoping it doesn't continue Personally I wish there was a Hyde on one of the NHL teams we could trade for so we could have the 'Jekyll (J Eichel) and Hyde
  7. Bachelors and Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering ... and working as a Power Engineering consultant down in Florida. Makes sense right? Couldnt find a job so hopped on an opportunity and so far so good.
  8. heres a question, is there a scenario where pittsburgh will only need 1 point to make the playoffs tonight?? If so, do you think we see Ted Nolan pull the goalie if it is tied late and go for the win? How awesome would that be to knock the Pens out in the fan appreciation game with less than a minute left and the goalie pulled -- in a tied, meaningless game for the Sabres?! :w00t:
  9. Me too, makes a lot of sense and will make the lottery more interesting
  10. Still a 20% chance for last place overall to pick first in 2015 draft. Top 3 spots up for lottery in 2016 @BNHarrington: In the 2016 NHL Draft, the lottery will determing the top 3 places and the worst team could slide to as low as No. 4 @BNHarrington: And now the NHL announces the draft lottery changes: Odds of No. 1 drop from 25 percent to 20 but worst team retains No. 2 in 2015 (more)
  11. played around a little for fun, got rid of some of the stupid shadows the logo has
  12. its just too good…now he's saying that he has no idea what people are talking about when they say he tweeted about eller demanding a trade, and that there are plenty of 'fake' hockey insider accounts with different spellings that impersonate him... all while people screenshot his tweet and send it to him with the exact spelling of his twitter. what an idiot
  13. might be the most embarrassing thing hockeyinsideerrrhas ever done and thats saying a lot hahaha
  14. ear canals and nostrils maybe if you have a micro, plus the main three… annnnnd that takes it too far
  15. Fwiw I think he was 228-230 at the draft so he put on about 10lbs but was still growing at 18 so not totally unsurprising. hopefully mostly muscle just from working out though. I read some flyers boards saying Sam morin from the same draft put on 20+ lbs, and seeing a before and after pic of him is Mindblowing how much his physique has changed in one year. From boy to man. I'll see if I can find it Middle, then right. Maybe it's just the hair lol
  16. Agreed. If I'm not mistaken zadorov was one of the fastest skaters in the entire 2013 draft. Maybe he doesn't have the quickest feet but he's definitely not slow
  17. Sizes and weights and testing results from the dev camp... Zadorov at 238. Wow.
  18. @NHL: SEASON IN :60(ish): Will we see these (and more) highlights from the @BuffaloSabres in 2014-15? http://t.co/3ItyYUY6Tn Sabres season highlights in 60 seconds. Couple of gems from girgensons. Wish they'd do a lowlight video, that could be highly entertaining. Sabrepede, I'm looking at you
  19. heres a nice read on grigorenko... http://www.buffalohockeybeat.com/sabres-prospect-mikhail-grigorenko-takes-responsibility-for-past-struggles-it-was-probably-no-ones-fault-but-mine/ i like that he is taking responsibility and trying his best to improve -- he really wants to. also liked that he's excited about most likely starting the season in rochester and getting 'a lot better' Side note - ristolainen lost 22 pounds apparently… he calls it 'baby fat'
  20. yep, bought some UFA years and we get to see how he fits with the team as we get bigger and better. (well hopefully we will be in 5 years)
  21. Kevin Weekes ‏@KevinWeekes 48s BREAKING : It's believed Ennis deal with @BuffaloSabres is in 5 yr 23 Mil range with a 4.6 Mil AAV. @NHL @NHLNetwork pretty much what i expected… hopefully no NTC though
  22. good write up i agree with basically all of it. As for carrier, Baker has been saying not to sleep on him from the minute he was traded here and said not to be surprised if he sees time with the sabres this upcoming year because he plays a pro-style game. maybe he doesn't have the highest upside hence his ranking outside the top 10, but he should definitely be an NHL player. Im excited for him.
  23. I thought everyone hated internet explorer, not just this site :P . Agreed that Ullmark was the best on the ice, but Makarov didn't look very good in my opinion..let more than a couple easy shots trickle thru, and was saved by florentino at the goal line on one of em.
  24. Reinhart and grigorenko were both ok, nothing spectacular. few nice plays or passes here or there. Fasching IMO was one of the best players out there tonight noticed him a ton along the boards he's so strong at protecting the puck and just looks massive out there. Compher I didn't notice much at all. Catenacci I didn't like his game, quick and good stick handling but seemed selfish. Guy I was most surprised about was florentino he was all over the place in a good way (but he did get burned by baptiste once who looked good, great skater). Also carrier had a great game but I am very high on him so not very surprised by that but others may have been Risto girgensons and Ullmark were my top 3, really think we may have found one for the future in Ullmark Oh and wanted to add that I thought sundher played a great game as well I was surprised by him. looked fast smart and dangerous with the puck
  25. i think carrier is the most underrated prospect that we have… guy plays a pro style game and has been hampered buy injuries the last couple years. people view him as just a toss in in the miller/ott trade but he is anything but. he was a second rounder in last years unbelievably deep draft and st louis traded up to draft him there. he certainly has potential I'm excited to see him in rochester this year.
