  1. Yes I know there have been quotes out there. I was specifically pointing out that none of those are after JS Dea's comments.
  2. I'm not. Jack is a unique talent but the best player on the team isn't always the best captain. That's fine. But beyond leadership, he doesn't sound like a good teammate and that might be hurting his trade value - that and trashing the team publicly.
  3. Yea where is the team sticking up for their captain? They aren't and no one else is saying hey JS Dea is totally wrong, Jack is a great leader. On the team for how many years and no one is willing to say Jack is a great guy and leader??? Instead the rumblings have been - yea Jack is actually how JS said he is
  4. The question is why would anyone leak something to him ? The big guys get stories because they also leak stuff helpful to their sources. JW is an opinion guy i haven't really heard him leak stuff that might be considered beneficial to someone? Mostly he talks about his opinions.
  5. Didnt his source also say McLennan was going to be hired, or was likely to be?
  6. am i the only one who hopes the ditch the numbers on front too ? Does any team still do this?
  7. It interesting to see how whatever he suggests instantly becomes the flavor of the week or hot move that must be made. The swords extending beyond the border of the shield are supposed to look like buffalo horns no?
  8. One thing that stands out to me is the number of NHL players and coaches who have gone on the record saying how Freddy is one the best people they have encountered in hockey and in life. Seems to be a recurring theme around him. Players have spent their whole lives listening to coaches and are pretty adept at ferreting out who is saying what they think is right and who is saying what they know is right. Freddy may or may not be a good hockey coach but he sounds like a well respected leader. A leader Housley was not.
  9. the snark .. tank... is full. This is all about RK :)
  10. What was the tail number on the plane? Does this mean the Buffalo Blizzard are coming back?
  11. I didn't catch that obviously was just reading the quoted blurb.
  12. Gotta love some of these HNIC guys, "further along" but he hasn't interviewed. How much is there between talking and the actual interview such that one can be further along. Where did he think they were before? Sounds like a bunch of nonsense.
  13. This. We haven't missed out on anyone. I don't see what the rush is other than it's the off-season and we are bored. Realistically, what is the drawback for Botts to see who is available after the season is over?
  14. Thanks. It just seems like Gronborg was never really reported as being an actual candidate, just something brought up by the fans. Keefe played in the NHL but wonder if that would be enough for Bott
  15. Did anyone report the Sabres had actual interest in Gronborg? It seemed like it was generated solely from WGR. If Botts wants NHL experience that would seem to rule out Keefe too.
  16. If it was so clear that it was possessed, why did the review take forever ? Rules are subject to interpretation but 99/100 times that offsides.
  17. a few things: stomach flu isnt contagious the way traditional flu is, and will likely not spread through locker rooms. That's the dreaded flu flu, which spreads via respiratory system primarily. Stomach almost always comes from ingesting some food/drink item that is already infected, and unless the team is sharing utensils they dont need to worry. Washing hands etc does little to prevent this kind of flu vs flu flu. There is a 24 hour flu bug and that can hit you hard and although your symptoms will wane after 24 hours, you will be drained for a few days after. A negative flu test, A or B, does not mean you don't have the flu. It's used primarily as a rapid screening tool only on account of the extremely high false negatives in certain situations.
  18. I have to agree with the general sentiment on here, I don't think you was calling out a specific player or Jack, but as it seemed there were many plays like Jack's that did not lead to a goal but rather a turnover and sustained zone pressure. The team does not have enough talent to pull off some of the plays they routinely attempt and they get burned. Lehner is correct that they need to be grinding (bc they aren't talented enough) team that stays within the structure to be successful. It's really the only way. Does anyone really think that with the right coach this team is substantially better? Is this just a young team going through growing pains? tbh the best teams in history haven't needed a coach to enforce accountability, that has to come from within the room.
  19. It seems like they were looking for insurance in case they move some D-men at the deadline. Need to expose at least one Dman who is under contract next year w 40 games. It also protects against wavier claims if we need to send Falk down. would think they protect: Risto McCabe Fedun? Not sure who else you would put here. Fedun is a pending UFA thought. Expose: Gorges Kulikov Falk Gorges Franson Bogosian
  20. RICE and HEM arent mutually exclusive, and castor oil has never been shown to "penetrate deeply" -- it simply does not absorb through the skin and provide any benefit to an injured joint. It is highly unlikely you had a severe high ankle sprain and were back to normal within 4-7 days. It just defies every piece of medical evidence out there. The normal recovery process for a sprained ankle or knee includes RICE for the first few days to get down the swelling. The boots are used in conjunction with a wrap and pad to further decrease swelling. AFTER that HEM is used to begin the rehab process - including ultrasound, pool exercises, bike, and therabands as tolerated. This is very similar to what you were doing. HOWEVER, you have to let the joint heal before you begin to do these things because if this is rushed there is a greater risk of reinjury to the joint or other parts of the foot overcompensate creating greater risk of injury. Again, RICE is a very important part, and HEM isn't really a thing by itself and there zero medical research support for it being a therapy alone.
  21. I must have missed all the "christian" mass murder posts when the psychos have been mass murdering here in the good ole USA. Did Texas have strict gun control? There were people open carrying and yet..... Also the Germany strict gun control thing is funny as it's a line parroted by FNC and it sounds like it makes sense unless you actually know what you're talking about. Germany has "strict" laws like not letting psychopaths own firearms. They also happen the have the 4th HIGHEST level of gun ownership per capita. So despite these laws you claim to understand, this is not a disarmed citizenry. Also, the Homicide by fun rate in Germany is FIFTY TIMES LESS so whatever you want to call their laws THEY DO WORK. Do we do away with strict drug laws because people still buy drugs, overdose and die? http://www.nytimes.com/2016/06/14/upshot/compare-these-gun-death-rates-the-us-is-in-a-different-world.html?_r=0 is the gun or people? The US is the heaviest armed and most violent group of people in the modern world, are we just more savage than the rest or do we just have more guns?
  22. Yea i think the thing with this is that the goalies in that game had to make some crazy saves to keep it 0-0, not just be butterfly marshmallow shot blockers. There are a few ways to protect the goalie without taking away too much of the net with fluff. The pads are insane. Was there a flurry of goalie injuries with the old pads? because if there was i certainly missed it. IS this really necessary?
  23. Right but the voters of Mich, per exit polling, took a huge swing to Bernie following the debate. It's pretty clear from his contemporaneous statements that he was all in on the auto bailout but wasn't willing to go for it if it was attached to bank bailout. Obviously Mich voters took his side on that. Yea the auto bailout, and all of the nonsense that it wouldnt' work from the GOP, is what killed Romney there and is what is still gonna hurt in this cycle. Pretty compelling for either HRC or Bernie to say we support you and you have a job, they didn't. Although HRC has issues with free trade that also hurt MICH
  24. I agree its a terrible measure, why i qualified it with self identified vs registered. Bernie just gets more Ind leaning voters. Trump has a cieling, i'm just wondering if it's really at 35% once the field narrows and/or general election. Head to head general election polls are silly at this point.
