  1. Not if you're trying to lose for Hughes. My Grandchildren are going to love watching the Sabres win....well maybe my Great Grandchildren.
  2. Why would/should Marchessault look back to the center of the ice ? Marchessault's following the play which was on the boards, he shouldn't have to take his eyes off the puck to see where he's skating.
  3. Just going by what the site is reporting. I tried to look for another source this morning, but had no luck.
  4. Reinhart has been paired with Eichel and Kane for 41.9% of his 5 on 5. He has spent 22.2% with O'Reilly and Pouliot. That's the top 3 point getters that Reinhart has been paired with the majority of his 5 on 5 TOI. There should be a little more "good". http://frozenpool.dobbersports.com/frozenpool_profiler.php?sent=go&players=3993&games=2017-2018:R
  5. I don't see this schedule as being easy in any way. The defense is really gonna have to come thru to have any success this season. The QB's the Bills will be facing are a pretty good bunch. T. Brady (2x), M. Ryan, D. Carr, C. Newton, D. Brees, P. Rivers and A. Luck. Even R. Tannehill (2x), A. Dalton, A. Smith and J. Winston can not be taken lightly. That leaves the 2 games vs the Jets and the game against the Broncos where the Bills won't be facing an established starting QB.
  6. I'd like to see Ennis stick around and it was good to see him play better, confidence plays a big part in that I believe. Although I think his biggest problem with playing up to par is he is lacking the speed that was the biggest part of his game. I'd have to guess that injuries are the cause, especially the groin injury. I hope that the concussions haven't put fear into his game, at times he seems a little hesitant and any hesitation can be the difference of making a play or looking like a scrub.
  7. Maybe Eichel's not turning the puck over enough, Bylsma said he wants him turning it over at least 5 times a game. The Sharks 2nd goal should count for at least 2-3 turnovers.
  8. Good thing they have a nice easy schedule.
  9. I say the interest wasn't there. Even though it's illegal" I have to think that his agent had feelers out there and Buffalo had the best offer. To me it still says the Bills don't fully believe in Taylor, otherwise they would of paid him what would of been a fair deal for a QB that you believe is the answer.
  10. Watching Robin Lehner's reaction after the goal tells me that his arm was never touched. After the goal Lehner stays on his knees for a couple of seconds then gets up looks to the sky, then turns back towards the net. If Lehner's arm was in fact hit he would of been charging after the referee instantly after the goal was scored. Even after 10-15 seconds pass, Lehner's leaning on the net and the ref skates right past him and Lehner says/does nothing. I don't think that Robin Lehner suddenly got shy and didn't want to cause a commotion arguing interference.
  11. You just can't look at stats or the number of championships, you have to look at the whole picture. Even statistically, the numbers he put up this year (his 17th) are crazy. As hard as it is to admit as a Bills fan, I'd say Brady is the best QB to ever play the game. Given the choice of any QB in their prime for one season, I think I'd have to choose Brady.
  12. I think that Taylor's current contract is the deciding factor of the higher ups at OBD. Will he renegotiate or take his shot on the open market ? IMO under his current contract, he won't be retained by the Bills. Unless Rick Dennison is going to foot the bill.
  13. Some of the throws he makes are amazing. You're never out of the game with Rodgers back there.
  14. MLK day, there are a lot of people off today, but still that is pretty odd scheduling.
  15. I think what's eliminating screens and quick hitting passes is Taylor's inability to get the ball out there. There has to be some reason why 2 different OC's in 2 years avoid throwing screen passes or quick slants. I have no doubt that the linemen can get out on a screen and any receiver can take 1 step and turn or run a slant.
  16. The Broncos are 8-6 and had no running game all season, their wins have not come from running the ball, where as the Bills wins have come on the shoulders of McCoy. McCoy has had at least 100 yds. or a rushing TD in every win except the Pats win. The Broncos have had 1 RB have a 100yd. game (107). That shows that Siemian does not need a strong running game to succeed.
  17. I would take him on the Bills in a heartbeat, the Broncos are putting the offense on his shoulders, since they have no run game. The Broncos are in a slump, but you have to look at the competition in that span. Raiders, Saints, Chiefs, Titans and Patriots. That's a combined record of 47-23 with the only sub .500 team being the Saints, who the Broncos beat. Siemian has helped the Broncos defeat 3 teams that at or above .500, something that the Bills current QB has not been able to do. Unless you want to count a victory over the Pats playing their 3rd string QB with an injured thumb. Siemian is a kid that can succeed in the passing game if needed to throw 30+ times a game, not a QB that if the run game is stifled the chances of winning are slim to none.
  18. If you took Taylor's rushing yards and turned them into passing yards he would be 21st in yardage (just passing) for QB's. His rushes while exciting to watch really haven't been as valuable as some think, His DVOA and VOA rank him 19th and 20th in QB's rushing stats.
  19. I feel the same, I've been a Bills fan for over 45 years and lately I really don't care what they do. Most of it has to do with the hiring of Ryan, I never liked the guy (detest him) and couldn't get myself to like him just because he became the Bills coach. Then this offseason when he brought his brother on board, it made it worse for me. I haven't gotten to the point where I want them to lose in hopes they fire Ryan, but honestly I don't think I'm very far away from that. Also IMO the game and players have changed so much from when I fell in love with the game, that my interest in football has decreased. A tough man's game seems to be giving way to a bunch of prima donnas that if not celebrating after every routine play are crying about some injustice done to them by the officials, ("he touched my helmet").
  20. Taylor has denied it. http://buffalonews.com/2016/11/16/tyrod-taylor-shoots-report-groin-injury/ I know, it's not a bad move. I just try and take a shot at Rex at any opportunity. I couldn't stand him when he coached the Jets and I've never able to embrace the idea of him coaching the Bills. It's hard for me to find or at least admit to liking something Rex does, because of the dislike that I've had for him for years.
  21. A former N.Y. Jets player, imagine that.
  22. Not having a single goal from the backliners certainly doesn't help. Even though he hasn't really contributed yet, having Ennis out for weeks now isn't going to help either.
  23. Marcell Dareus hasn't practice all week because a groin injury, Monday night status TBD.
  24. First report I read said he was held out of practice Thursday, the one I just read said he's been limited the last 3 days with turf toe. Gillislee is more of a north, south runner so maybe turf toe wouldn't hamper him as much as someone like McCoy who does a lot of cutting. I just hope that if he doesn't look like he's near 100% playing, give someone else the ball.
