Stafford needs to go

You know, one day I am going to log on and this thread will be titled "Stafford is gone."

And a piece of my world will be vanished forever.

I can't wait until I can change the title. And Chz--don't do it for me this time!

We need at least 2 pages of celebration before you lock the thread, though. This thing is going in the HOF.

I will not lock the thread.

I almost at Stafford to sign an extension just to see this board's reaction. Almost :P

I am likely to have a cardiac incident.

In his first ~30 games Drew Stafford scored 9 points. In his last 16 games Drew Stafford scored 10 points.

Drew Stafford 50% salary retained for a 2nd or third. Maybe make it Stafford and a 2nd for a 1st?

Stafford for a Mighty Pack, hot, with sour cream.

So while everyone waits for the inevitable decline of Stafford, what if, just maybe, Ted Nolan was the answer to making Drew Stafford the player he is now and this continues?

This is where having a new management team in place is good because they don't have to look at the history of Stafford.

I don't think he's going anywhere. His cap hit is $4MM and that's going to be spot on for where he ends up on this roster.

Lock him up for 2 million a year. 4 Million is way too high for where he is going to be

Unless he is a lesser element to a blockbuster trade, or some foolish team offers up a a first-rounder, I don't see any world where Drew Stafford isn't a Sabre until next year's deadline.

There was talk of Briere earlier, but I don't see the Sabres doing that now.
