ubkev
Ah, okay. I don't get this. The D moves make total sense. I do not get this. At. All. They either think he can be a capable center, or they are going to make a trade happen.
frissonic
WOW. Bye bye Richards. Hello Ville. I still like it. Armia's new mentor not so fast ... signing a winger makes me wonder who they're gonna dish out to make a trade.
Braedon
$4+ mil a year for a 27 year old LW that has 30 career goals and 73 career points? This has to be step one to a bigger trade. Very short resume but he's settled in nicely in the NHL, and I love his game. I completely agree that another big trade must be coming, some of our other wingers are going the other way. North Buffalo
Interesting. Like Leino on the team... Wow.

Eleven
I don't like this at all. I hope there's a trade in the works.
That Aud Smell
must be a trade coming.... Pomminstein? Boyes? those are two right-wingers. it's vanek, then ennis. could be "see ya" to max 2.0.
Sabre Dance
Not that Leino isn't good, but we need Cs, not wingers. So, WTF?

deluca67
If they signed Leino, Ennis has to be part of package with Sekera to acquire a center I never wanted you to be more right than I do on this.
TheFunPolice
those are two right-wingers. it's vanek, then ennis. could be "see ya" to max 2.0. maybe a dumb question, but can't many wingers play both sides?
SabresVA
What is the point of signing another left winger? Trade him and Boyes to NJ for Parise ?
BuffaloSoldier2010
I never wanted you to be more right than I do on this. ennis is cheaper and more effective at LW, granted that makes him prime for a trade, why spend so much on a contract. nothing about this move makes sense to me. Braedon
That is a joke. Leino is trash. You obviously didn't watch what he did this year, especially after Carter went down. I like him, he was money in the playoffs. You know, when it counts.
Braedon
/patience. Very good point, Aud. There's something on the horizon.

I would rather see a Adam on the wing to start the season. This is a bad contract.
dEnnis the Menace
Mind = Blown...I don't even know what to think about what may be in the works...or may not be...or...*HEAD EXPLODES* :death:
Lanny
Very good point, Aud. There's something on the horizon. Seems like they have an extra LW & Dman on the NHL roster. Ennis, Sekera, + for ?
deluca67
I don't like this at all. I hope there's a trade in the works. I hope it involves Leino. $4+ mil is shocking. That price may make him difficult to trade.
wnyguy
All I know is Leino played huge in the playoffs this year.
That Aud Smell
maybe a dumb question, but can't many wingers play both sides? i suppose. but it's sort of like how some wingers can slide to center. i believe our top RWs are Pomminstein, stafford, and boyes. they can play elsewhere, but that's where they play naturally. FearTheReaper
Just heard reports that the Sabres have yet to even talk to Richards. This is getting interesting.

You know, when it counts. Like in Game 6? I hope it involves Leino. $4+ mil is shocking. That price may make him difficult to trade. If the Sabres are going to get two stud centers, it's going to be more money than that out the door. The fact that they just signed a left wing might mean.... I can't bring myself to type it.
