carpandean
I remember Rivet citing some of the same things you mention above as real concerns when he heard he was traded to Buffalo. Of course he didnt have a NMC so he had no choice, but I recall him saying he was set at ease about the area / schools / housing after talking to some players around the league. Was he the one that called a real estate agent to see what he could get for $3M in Buffalo and the laughing response was basically "any house you want." Rivet began finding all the great things about Buffalo that outsiders ignore and the natives take for granted. He’s already experienced reverse sticker shock. When he told the real estate agent in Buffalo that he was looking for a 5,000-square-foot home in the $2 million range, she darned near laughed him off the phone. http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/columns/bucky-gleason/article108276.ece

Taro T
I'm hoping that Goose isn't included in the package because they would then be adding faceoff specialist (& ANOTHER center) to the list of what they're looking / needing to add. That stated, if Goose was the last piece the Flames required, later Paul. Is Perreault (Yanic, not 11) still floating around?
Braedon
I think most Brazillians are butt guys. Tan, tight, and round there. Whereas here we have................yeah he'll never notice.
carpandean
Is Perreault (Yanic, not 11) still floating around? We could pick up Zenon Konopka. He's a Niagara Falls, ON, boy and was 58% in 1075 faceoffs last year. He also had over 300 minutes in penalties, including 25 fights. Plus, he's got a neat name. Edit: he even wears #28. sabills
Just heard it might be Roy going the other way, looking for the link now. EDIT: Can't find it. Boss at work said he saw it from TSN, but I can't find it anywhere. Might be on twitter somewhere.
Taro T
Just heard it might be Roy going the other way, looking for the link now. That would be surprising as it's a salary wash for the Flames and puts Buffalo in the market for THREE centers (minimum).
LGR4GM
Just heard it might be Roy going the other way, looking for the link now. ...then we sure as hell better be getter more than a 31yr old stay at home defender for Roy, Since drury and briere's departure roy has had 81pts 70pts 69 pts and last year 35pts in 35 games so unless we are getting a point per game player in this.... darcy's and idiot. That would put us down to 1 natural center (Goose?), and on top of that, we'd have 1 prospect in the farm (Adam). I know Darcy is not liked much in these parts, but I think he'd be smarter than that! Buffalo Wings
We're the fat girl at the end of the bar around closing time. This is pretty much what I was getting at. I realize all of the logistics he needs to consider and I know it hasn't been 24 hours. I guess I was more afraid that he'd be thinking that he'd be better off going to a different team than Buffalo, whatever the reason may be. SDS
darcy's and idiot. A classic internet response... complete with grammatical butchering and misspellings, all to insult somebody for something that there is no proof that he did. Maybe you could give us your real name, then we can post rumors about you and call you "and idiot" [sic] for it?
LGR4GM
From hopeful Calgary fans. you act like having Jokinen and Stajan is bad thing......... o wait it is. Derek Roy, aint going nowhere... to quote our fearless leader. Its like saying the sabres are trading Vanek and a pick and a prospect for Regehr... NO WAY NO HOW. I am still thinking like ur 3rd rounder and a defender (like sekera)
dEnnis the Menace
From hopeful Calgary fans. Yeah. Have you read some of them? a few were talking about dumping Kotalik and/or Stajan with Regher and getting Roy or Boyes or I think I saw Ennis in a comment (I stopped reading and started skimming...my brain hurt). I don't expect them to make bank on this trade either.
